Do you have PCOS? Did you know there was recently a name change? Instead of polycystic ovarian syndrome, the new name more properly includes bigger aspects of the disease. Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome will hopefully help more women get the help that they need with this endoncrine and hormone disorder, and make it less confusing when women who don't have cysts on their ovaries try to explain that even though they don't have cysts or fertility issues they still have to struggle with the metabolic aspects of PCOS/PMOS.

Currently taking a class to learn about how to support women with PMOS better!

I have a table at a local homeschool retreat. Sharing information about doula services and a class I'm considering doing for teenage girls and their moms about hormones, the cycle, pregnancy, and postpartum.

So excited to be able to support clients in the OR at Butterworth now!

OR support has been requested for so many years, I'm glad that women won't have to fight for it (at Butterworth) anymore. Though if you do want OR support somewhere else, I can help advocate for that for you sometimes we're successful!

Last night was wonderful! The speakers were great and able to answer lots of questions. Counting babies there were over 70 in attendance.

Looking for health and wellness businesses/services that serve women in the childbearing season (whole families as well, but need to also serve that population specifically) who would like to have a booth at the Birth and Beyond Expo on Novmber 11th at the Fremont Rec Center South Commons. This is the 5th year of the event, and besides having the expo/vendor booths, there are breakout sessions on a variety of topics applicable to women who are trying to conceive, pregnant, or postpartum. Previous years speakers and topics have included Samantha Kauffman a local RN, IBCLC and oral rehabilitation expert- about helping babies after they have had oral ties released, Dr Mailloux of Mailloux Dentistry, an airway specialist- on symptoms and health issues that may be realated to oral ties, a fertility coach, Jules Carpenter of Your Health Your Healing with Jules , and more. One year we also had a panel of homebirth midwives and hopsital providers from Corewell Ge**er who answered questions from the audience on a variety of topics.

Big Rapids area Moms, Tina does a great job with these breastfeeding meetups. It is so fun getting to meet other local moms with babies of similar ages and you get lactation support too!
