✨story time ✨

The office gets an email from a mom 36 weeks pregnant with a transverse baby a day before I stop taking new patients at the office (since we were also 36 weeks at the time with Baby Havens!)

Thankfully she’s able to make it in the very next day! She explains that she is scheduled for an ECV to manually try and flip the baby in two weeks. I told her that is plenty of time, but we’re gonna have to put in some work before then. She was ready and so was I! I mean, this is a Webster Chiro’s bread and butter after all. 😍

I explained to her that we will do everything possible, but sometimes baby won’t turn and she should be prepared for that possibility as well. By decreasing torsion on the uterus and working on her pelvis here at the office and doing her work at home, we are giving her and her sweet girl the best opportunity to get head down and ready to go!

After 5 visits mom was feeling great! She hadn’t noticed any changes in baby’s position (and I could tell she was sad) but she felt as though if she had to go through the ECV procedure, she’s glad she was well adjusted going into it. (Proud chiro moment 🥰)

The day after her 5th visit was her scheduled procedure. This is the email I received that evening:

“Hi Vanessa,

Went for the inversion procedure today and baby was head down!! I was in complete shock and so relieved. Had a 3 minute ultrasound and was released from hospital.”

And cue the happy tears 🥹

Y’all this is my purpose. This is what I LOVE to do. These moments, these moms, all moms, mean everything to me. Thank you to all the moms out there who have trusted me with their care and the care of their sweet babies. It’s truly the greatest honor ❤️

5 breech/transverse babies in this past year. 5 gone vertex by birth. 🙏 it’s amazing what the woman’s body can do when interference is removed. Chiropractic is SO freakin cool.

Good morning to my Gainesville Mobile Chiropractic patients. What a great couple of years it has been creating a mobile Chiropractic practice and helping each of you find and correct the cause of your symptoms, recover from life’s traumas, get relief from aches and pains, and become a healthier version of you. I absolutely loved doing so!

In January I made a big change. I purchased Chiefland Chiropractic Center in Chiefland, Florida. It has been a whirlwind of an experience thus far that has taken most of my days and many of my nights. I want each of you to know that you are welcome to come see me at Chiefland Chiropractic. You may schedule as an “established patient” as I will be transferring your records to the office if you choose to continue care with me. Adjustment visits are $50 and all care is self-pay.

If the trek to Chiefland is too great of a distance and you need assistance finding a new Chiropractor please let me know. I wish you all the very best and hope to see you all in the future happier and healthier than the last time.

“Gym memberships are too expensive.”

-the guy spending $200 a month on fast food

“I don’t want to spend $$ for an adjustment, it will go away on its own.”

-the guy missing two days of work due to neck and/or low back pain

We all have our favorite excuses for not taking care of ourselves. Create new habits that make you healthier now not next year. I’ve never met a healthy person in their 70s that said, “I wish I would have had more chips and soda or exercised less. All of the jogging/swimming/yoga really wasted my time and money.”

My goal is that some day Chiropractors will be given hospital privileges to examine newborns as soon after birth as reasonable to determine if subluxations exist and then gently correct them. This will solve a multitude of potential issues for new moms and dads. This will reduce the number of weeks babies and parents endure sleepless nights and fussy days prior to reaching out for the help that should have been offered from day one.

A baby’s nervous system was first to begin developing in the womb and it will continue to make connections rapidly as developmental milestones are reached. Your child’s best chance depends on a healthy nervous system free from interference.
