A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing first responders who came out to help make our 5th Annual Impairment Awareness Event a success. Our Prevention intern, Skyla Martin, did a fantastic job coordinating the event and as always we had so many wonderful volunteers and staff members who helped make it a success for our Newberry College students! A wonderful time was had by all at our Winter Wonderland event last weekend! This was an awesome opportinity for families to get together for some fun activities and it provided parents with some great information! A huge thanks to Molina and El Rayo for helping make this event a reality!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating and showering expecting moms in our community this weekend with games, gifts, and helpful resources! Another successful Community Baby Shower is officially in the books.

Westview Behavioral Health Services, in partnership with SC Children’s Trust, is excited to offer the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) for new participants in Newberry, Greenwood and Saluda Counties. Over the past few years, more than 350 families have completed SFP.

SFP has been shown to improve parenting practices, strengthen family relationships, and reduce risky behaviors in youth.
The updated SFP 7-17 curriculum includes a meal and interactive sessions for parents, children, teens and the family. Topics covered include effective communication, managing stress, setting goals, rewarding positive behavior, resolving conflict, and problem-solving. Families engage in hands-on activities that promote connection, trust, and problem-solving skills.

A nursery is provided for children up to 6 years old. There is no charge for the program, and assistance with transportation can be provided.

We are currently accepting applications for the 2026 programs.
