William Eugene Wilson, 74, of Newburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. He was born on March 27, 1952, in Newburg to James William “Bud” Wilson and Emma Jane (Cooper) Wilson.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Emma Wilson; his beloved wife, Marline Wilson; his daughter, Samantha Dodds; and his brother, Bob Wilson.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, David (Dana) Wilson of Rolla and James Wilson of Newburg; his sisters, Joyce (Alex) Moutsoglou of South Dakota, Brenda Hayes of Newburg, and Nora (Kim) Lewis of Rolla; six grandchildren, Brittany, Kayla, Nolan, Dannon, Brayden, and Kylee; and six great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
William loved the outdoors and found great joy in hunting squirrels and deer, fishing, and tending to his garden. He was also known as a talented cook who enjoyed preparing meals for those he loved. After dedicating 32 years of service to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), he retired with many years of hard work behind him. In his free time, he enjoyed buying, selling, and trading fi****ms, but nothing meant more to Bill than spending time with his family and making lasting memories together.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Newburg, Missouri.
