William Eugene Wilson, 74, of Newburg, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026. He was born on March 27, 1952, in Newburg to James William “Bud” Wilson and Emma Jane (Cooper) Wilson.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Emma Wilson; his beloved wife, Marline Wilson; his daughter, Samantha Dodds; and his brother, Bob Wilson.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, David (Dana) Wilson of Rolla and James Wilson of Newburg; his sisters, Joyce (Alex) Moutsoglou of South Dakota, Brenda Hayes of Newburg, and Nora (Kim) Lewis of Rolla; six grandchildren, Brittany, Kayla, Nolan, Dannon, Brayden, and Kylee; and six great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

William loved the outdoors and found great joy in hunting squirrels and deer, fishing, and tending to his garden. He was also known as a talented cook who enjoyed preparing meals for those he loved. After dedicating 32 years of service to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), he retired with many years of hard work behind him. In his free time, he enjoyed buying, selling, and trading fi****ms, but nothing meant more to Bill than spending time with his family and making lasting memories together.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Newburg, Missouri.

Rodney L Baker, 72, of Dixon, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23rd, 2026.

Rodney was born in Waynesville, Missouri, on April 29, 1954. He was proceeded in death by his father Rennie Joseph Baker; his mother, Thelma Mae (Best) Baker; and his two brothers, Rennie Joseph Baker and Willie Veryl Baker.

Rodney was a man deeply rooted in his Christianity. His unwavering faith and his quiet devotion was reflected in the way he lived each day. Rodney was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was a hardworking man who built his own business to provide for and support his family. Rodney was a man of many talents with an endless wealth of knowledge. His wisdom and resourcefulness were gifts that everyone around him relied on.

Outside of work, Rodney loved the outdoors. Whether he was arrow head hunting, c**n hunting, or fishing, he found his joy in nature. Above all else, he treasured spending time with family. He loved hosting large family gatherings always filled with laughter and stories.

Rodney was the beloved husband of Martha Jane for 51 years, a loving father to Travis (Lanette), Waylon (Dana), and Tina (Travis), and a cherished grandfather to eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter all of whom will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11th, at 4PM at First Assembly of God in Dixon, Missouri. Rodney wanted the day to be filled with friends and family coming together to share love, laughter and memories. What a beautiful legacy he leaves behind.

Jewell Louise Annette Naber, 89, of St. James, passed away on May 21, 2026. She was born on January 21, 1937, in Wappapello to Talmage Judson Hale and Esther Nevada Beulah Pauline (Holliday) Hale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmage and Esther Hale; her first husband, George Walker; her second husband, David Naber; and ten siblings.

Louise is survived by her two daughters, Anita Naber of St. James and Rebecca (Jack) Clark of Rosebud; two sons, Darrell Walker of Puxico and Brian Naber of St. James; 19 grandchildren, Rickie, Cheryl, Jason, Tina, Nicki, David, Austin, Briannah, Brennan, Gabriel, Jackie, Dakota, Chase, Shelby, Natasha, Lacie, Madalynn, Colten, and Damion; as well as 20 great-grandchildren.

Louise found great joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved spending time outdoors, mowing her lawn, gardening, raising chickens, and caring for her cats and dogs. She enjoyed drinking coffee for literally any occasion, especially with family and friends. A devoted born-again Christian, Louise was a faithful member of Calvary Apostolic Church of St. James for 42 years.

Above all, Louise cherished her family. She loved being a mother and grandmother and was happiest when cooking, barbequing, and making sure everyone around her was well fed and cared for. Her warmth, faith, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Louise will be held on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 at Calvary Apostolic Church, 802 West James Blvd, St James, MO 65559.

James Cleo Humphrey (81) of Dixon passed away on May 9, 2026. He was born on August 13, 1944, in Dixon to Henry Edward Humphrey and Georgia Ellen (Leek) Humphrey.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Georgia Humphrey; two daughters, Sandra Kay Shanks and Kathy Lynn Hughes; three brothers, Charles Humphrey, Jackie Joe Humphrey, and Edward Humphrey; and one sister, Edna Hudspeth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pearl Humphrey of Dixon; one daughter, Debbie (Larry) Rodriguez-Alvarado of Waynesville; one son, Arlis (Beth) Humphrey of Dixon; one sister, Treva (Steve) Brown; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

James was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found tinkering on tractors and various pieces of machinery. He enjoyed visiting and socializing with friends at the Co Op and the Senior Center, and he especially loved spending time watching old Westerns.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Evelyn Josephine Pyatt, 85, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on March 31, 2026. She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the steady presence she brought into the lives of those around her.

Evelyn was born on December 21, 1940, in West Plains, Missouri, the daughter of Cecil and Myrtle Asberry. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Pyatt, and together they built a life centered around family, love, and caring for others.

She was the heart of her family and someone many relied on through every season of life. Evelyn had a natural way of making people feel welcome and cared for, whether they had known her for years or were meeting her for the first time.

Throughout her life, she was a loving housewife who dedicated herself to her family and to helping others whenever she could. She took pride in creating a warm and welcoming home and found joy in cooking, sharing a good cup of coffee with family and friends, and spending time with the people who meant the most to her.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lloyd Pyatt, of Rolla; her children, Johnnie Pyatt of Rolla, Lorea Hall (William) of Florida, and Anita Enlow (Kenneth) of Rolla; her brother, Eddie Asberry, of Rolla; and her sister, Joyce Regula, of Oregon.

Evelyn is also survived by her grandchildren, Josey, Heather, Josh, Dylan, Nick, Loren, Jamie, Cody, and Piper, along with several great-grandchildren who brought her so much happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Wayne Asberry, and her grandson, Heath Enlow.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date, allowing family and friends time to come together to honor her life and share memories.

Richard Leo Brown, 82, of Lenox, Missouri, passed away on February 24, 2026. He was born January 30, 1944, in Newburg, Missouri, to Robert Lee Brown and Lula Mae (King) Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard Brown Jr.; his daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Daniel Bridges; and three sisters, Bonnie Handley, Della Cummings, and Opal Hollis.

Richard is survived by his wife, Anna Fleming Brown of Lenox; three daughters, Karen Pogue of Viburnum, Gail Gilmon of Sedalia, and Shirley (Charlie) Poehl of St. Louis; thirteen grandchildren, Trenton, Travis, Krystal, Kendra, Collin, Cody, Hannah, Charles, Christian, Jessie, Avery, Barry, and Blaine; one sister, Judy Thompson of Lenox; and one brother, Bobby Brown of Salem.

Richard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great joy in spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his generous heart. A talented mechanic, Richard could rebuild a transmission without the need for instructions and spent countless hours in his shop doing what he loved. He also enjoyed treating his family to meals at Sirloin Stockade, listening to classic country music, and watching Western films. His loyal dog, Baby, held a special place in his heart.

Richard will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kenneth Edward Murray, age 65, was born January 22, 1960, in Pekin, Illinois, to Ed and Iretta Murray, and passed away on December 27, 2025.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Harold Eddie Murray; his mother, Sevilley Iretta Yelton (Watson); his brother, Calvin K. Murray; his stepchildren, Christina Neese and Dennis Ray Neese, Jr.; and his grandparents, Harold and Helen Murray and George W. and Flossie Watson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Murray of Doolittle, Missouri. He leaves behind his children: Jessica Swoboda and husband James of St. James, Missouri; Amber Gogel and husband Ed of Baldwin, Missouri; and Kenneth M. Murray of Steelville, Missouri. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Murray and wife Laura of Cuba, Missouri; his sisters, Ramona Beasley and husband Keith of Steelville, Missouri, and Tonia Righter and husband Jimmy of Steelville, Missouri; and his sister-in-law, Phyllis Murray of Cuba, Missouri. Kenneth is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many special friends.

Kenneth was a born-again Christian and faithfully attended church. He was known for being sensitive to the Spirit and strong in his faith. In his younger years, he worked in sawmills. In his spare time, he enjoyed cutting firewood, attending yard sales, and deer hunting. Above all, he deeply loved his family and friends.

Janice Lea Wotnow, age 57, of St. Robert, Missouri, passed away on December 20, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1967, in Rolla, Missouri, to John James Aland and Anna Louise (Best) Aland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Aland and Anna Wells.

Janice is survived by her devoted husband, Russell Wotnow of St. Robert; her three stepdaughters, Jacquie, Tiffany, and Lisa Wotnow, all of Michigan; her sisters, Sherry Aland of Oklahoma, Christy (Ronnie) Holt of Oklahoma, and Twila (John) Naillon of Powell, Missouri; her brothers, Steve (Julie) Wells of Smithton, Missouri, and Robert (Pamela) Wells of Jefferson City, Missouri; and her grandmother, Maxine Best of Dixon, Missouri.

Janice enjoyed playing bingo online and had a natural talent for numbers, which served her well in her career as an accountant. She earned a bachelor’s degree and was known for her sociable nature and warm personality. Janice loved her family deeply and found great joy in time spent with them. In her younger years, she enjoyed singing, dancing, and listening to music, with a special fondness for country music and Elvis Presley.

A loving and kindhearted woman, Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley Virginia West, age 78, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away on December 9, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1947, in Pulaski County, Missouri, to Isaac Marion Easter and Doris Evelyn Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Doris Easter; her sister, Janet Ault; and her husband, James West.
Shirley is survived by her sisters, Martha (Don) Plake of Rolla and Carolyn Maylee of Crystal City; her brother-in-law, Charles (Janet) West of Newburg; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Shirley was a devoted Christian and an active member of Newburg Assembly in Newburg, Missouri. She loved attending church, enjoyed cooking, and had a special gift for making friends wherever she went. Known for her kind heart and encouraging spirit, Shirley brought comfort and joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

W. J. (Dub) Turnbow, 85, of St. Robert, Missouri, passed into eternity Sunday evening, October 12, 2025, at Life Care Center, Waynesville, Missouri. Born in Haskell, Texas on November 5, 1939, to Melvin and Mae Bell Turnbow.

Dub was known for hard work and helping people. He loved babies and children, was very sociable and enjoyed talking to people. He did not like to see animals suffer and fed strays because he couldn’t stand to see an animal starve. Dub made a profession of faith and was baptized in the river in the early 90s. He was a member of and faithfully attended Gospel Ridge Church as long as he was able. He worked for construction companies, operating heavy equipment and then purchased his own equipment running his own business. He served as a member of the Water Department Board until he could no longer hear well enough to participate in the meetings; he was a deputy sheriff for a few years and a well-known member of the community.

Dub was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mae Bell Turnbow, his wife Ida, one brother, Melvin (Bud) Turnbow, three sisters, Florence (Sanner) Larned, Geraldine (Sis) Furrh and Nita Legget.

Surviving are stepson Darrell York, daughter-in-law Kay York, granddaughter Kay Waynette Wardani, one brother, Gary Turnbow, two sisters Loretta Hatfield and Gina Trussell, three great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Services for William will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at St Robert Gospel Church, 23181 Harlan Lane, St Robert, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggestions donations to the Gospel Ridge Cemetery. Dub took care of maintaining the cemetery as long as he was able and then oversaw a fund to cover costs of mowing and upkeep.
