Today, Ambulnz NY2 would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the Coldenham Fire Department following the fire at their own station.

Our hearts are with every member of the department as they face this difficult challenge and work together to rebuild. No fire department should ever have to respond to an emergency within its own home.

Please join us in keeping the members of the Coldenham Fire Department in your thoughts and wishing them strength, safety, and support in the days ahead.

Ambulnz NY2 could not agree more with this post.
Every agency today worked together. Every agency today stepped up when help was needed.
Past Chief Mancuso absolutely handled himself professionally, calmly, and without a second thought.
Great work by all.

Today I came into work early to catch the morning shift change at 6:30 AM.
What I walked into absolutely blew me away.
I stepped out of my car with my backpack and coffee in hand and noticed a group gathered around a truck. As I got closer, I realized one of our senior EMTs was reviewing the BLS bag with newer staff, discussing the importance of the equipment we carry every day. He then moved on to cervical collars, explaining both the proper way to use them and some of the common mistakes people make.
As I turned around, I saw another crew working with a newer medic, taking the time to review ALS equipment and answer questions.
After putting my bag down, I headed back outside and found one of our supervisors teaching an EMT how to fix a loose mirror and explaining how the adjustment mechanism worked.
I then walked into dispatch and found the team laughing, working together, and getting the board set up for the day.
This morning made my heart happy.
No one was told to do any of this. No one was checking a box or completing an assignment. It was simply people looking out for each other, sharing knowledge, mentoring newer staff, and helping their teammates succeed.
Moments like these remind me that a strong organization isn't built by policies or equipment alone—it's built by people who genuinely care about one another and take pride in helping each other grow.

Today and Tonight our crews have been standing by while many incredible and hardworking fire departments battled, and continue to battle, the large and devastating fire in Fairview.
It is truly remarkable to witness so many departments come together, working tirelessly throughout the day and now into the night. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to protecting our communities do not go unnoticed.
We are fortunate to have such outstanding firefighters and emergency responders serving our region. As the operation continues, we are thinking of all those on scene and wishing them safety, strength, and success as they continue this fight through the night.
Thank you to every firefighter, EMS provider, dispatcher, and support personnel working behind the scenes to keep our communities safe.
