Being placed in a walking boot for a few months is often essential to allow proper healing after an ankle fracture. However, it’s just as important to address the mobility restrictions, strength deficits, and movement compensations that can develop after prolonged immobilization, especially when physical therapy isn’t ordered from the start.
This is a small glimpse of the progress made between just two visits. Is everything perfect yet? Not quite. But we’re moving in the right direction toward pain-free movement and activities without compensation.
