Our Ronald McDonald House Gateway is currently full, with all 16 rooms occupied and additional families on a waiting list. Behind every door is a family facing long hospital days, difficult conversations, and the uncertainty that comes with having a critically ill child. ❤️

Right now, we’re asking our community to help us care for these families in one very meaningful way: meals.

A warm meal may seem simple, but for parents spending every moment at their child’s bedside, it can provide comfort, relief, and one less thing to worry about during an incredibly difficult time.

We are currently looking for:
🍽️ Individuals or groups willing to prepare and serve a meal
🥘 Casseroles or ready-to-bake meals
🛍️ Gift cards for meals or groceries
🍴 Restaurant or business food donations

If you would like to help support families staying at the House, please sign up at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/w3nlvw or send us a message for more information.

Hannah Adkins thought she’d be arriving at The Women’s Hospital today to be induced.

Instead, baby Hazel had other plans.

On Friday afternoon, Hannah unexpectedly delivered her baby girl at the Huck’s gas station in Fort Branch — nearly 30 minutes from the hospital.

After delivery, both mom and baby were transported to The Women’s Hospital, where our teams cared for them and helped ensure they were both doing well.

While not every birth goes according to plan, moments like these are a reminder of how important specialized care for moms and babies can be. From routine deliveries to unexpected emergencies, our teams are here to provide expert care every step of the way.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Lynnville resident Hannah Adkins says she has an interesting birthing story that she can’t wait to share with her daughter a few years down the road. “I …

As we celebrate Healthcare Week, we are proud to recognize someone who truly represents the heart of The Women’s Hospital — our Employee of the Year, Trey Williams! 🎉

Trey, a 3rd Shift Cook in Nutritional Services, was nominated by his coworkers for consistently going above and beyond in the care and support he provides to staff and patients alike.

Whether preparing meals for overnight staff, responding quickly to patient needs, or simply greeting others with kindness and a smile, Trey brings compassion, humility, and dedication to every shift. His coworkers shared that Trey gives 100% every single day — whether serving one person or one hundred — because he believes everyone deserves the same level of care and effort.

While much of his work happens behind the scenes, his impact is felt throughout the hospital by staff, patients, and families alike.

Thank you, Trey, for all you do to care for others and make The Women’s Hospital a better place each and every day. Congratulations on being named Employee of the Year! ✨

Did you know NICU babies are often bathed while swaddled? This gentle approach helps keep them calm, regulated, and ready for feeding — all while teaching families how to continue care at home.

POV: You're a Labor and Delivery nurse who almost missed your own surprise Daisy Award ceremony because your patient was five centimeters dilated.

That’s exactly who Allie Wink is — always putting her patients first and showing up for moms on one of the biggest days of their lives.
