My name is Tiphani Fillingim and I am the owner of Illuminating Hope Counseling, LLC. I have been working in the field of Social Work since 2013 after graduating from USI with my Masters in Social Work. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, ranging from school aged children to adults of any age. I also specialize in marriage and family therapy. Wor

king in a variety of settings has given me experience with a multitude of diagnoses and problems. I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life and to take back control over what was once lost. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with Mental Health and Addictions. I use a solution focused approach with Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CBT, and TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- specifically for children). I also use Matrix programming to address addictions and substance abuse. Therapy is a unique and individual experience that can offer help to those in need and provide hope for the future. Therapy can be uncomfortable and a little scary, but if you are motivated and ready for change it is well worth it. Lastly, therapy can help challenge us to grow, gain new perspectives, and learn healthy ways to cope with life's curveballs.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, may we take a moment to reflect on the resilience, courage, and hope that have shaped our nation through generations.

Today is a time for gratitude, connection, and celebration—but it's also important to remember that holidays can bring mixed emotions for many. If you or someone you know is struggling, you're not alone. Healing is a journey, and reaching out for support is a sign of strength.

As you celebrate with family and friends, I also encourage everyone to be mindful of our veterans, active-duty service members, Wounded Warriors, first responders, and others who may find fireworks difficult due to trauma. A little compassion and consideration can make a meaningful difference.
