Vitality Family Medicine goes to the State House…Working to make Direct Primary Care equally accessible to patients with all types of insurance.
Thank you to my family medicine colleagues for getting Direct Primary Care needs on the radar of the state House & Senate.

Thank you to my patients for being flexible with appointments so I could skip work and speak at the State House today.

A terrifying three minutes of public speaking were well worth it! I addressed the financial committee today in regards to the disparity and restrictions that HMOs and Masshealth place on their patients by setting arbitrary rules, which make obtaining referrals to specialists more difficult when these patients are part of a Direct Primary Care practice. Patients with PPOs (who are often higher earners) don’t have to play the same games with insurance as patients with HMOs and Masshealth.

Just Trying to level the playing field so the high quality and convenience of Direct Primary Care is equal for all patients of all backgrounds with all types of insurance.

If anyone wants to write a letter to their state Rep about this issue, DM me and I will get you the information.
