✨Been 2 years in the making but I finally did it!!✨

First I had to take a myo course to connect all my issues since i searched and searched and no health care professional could ever help me (tmj issues from clenching/ grinding, broken teeth, neck pain and chronic tension, migraines, shoulder problems, mouth breathing, chronic upper airway respiratory infections/pneumonia)

then had to make some space for my tongue to rest naturally in the roof of my mouth through vivos and clear aligners.

There is solid science behind the fact that hunger hormones get disrupted when you don't sleep well.
Ghrelin ("im hungry" signal hormone) goes up.
Leptin ("im full") goes down.

Sleep deprivation also affects the brain’s reward system:
High-calorie foods (especially sugar and fat) become more appealing
Impulse control weakens, making it harder to resist snacks
You’re more likely to eat late at night.

Chronic poor sleep can also:
Increase Insulin Resistance, making it harder for your body to manage blood sugar
Raise cortisol (stress hormone), which can further increase appetite
Shift your body toward storing more fat

Sleep is so important for so many reasons. Mouth breathing and sleep disordered breathing are definitely factors that can greatly disrupt your sleep.
