It’s been awhile since Ive made a post…I’m not always on top of posting on social media, but it’s still a helpful tool. I just get overwhelmed by it, but don’t we all? It’s helpful for me take a break whenever I feel the need to keep in the flow and focus on my clients.

I’ve been a massage therapist for over 13years and running Innate Energy Massage for over 10years, time flys. And there’s so much to say to express how grateful I feel to keep on being able to do this work. So I’ll summarize this as best I can: I’m thankful for each opportunity to learn(it’s been a whole lot of unlearning and relearning) for each connection with other local LMT’s and surrounding local businesses who have become friends and mentors to me as we all navigate these times. We’re all doing the best we can. I love supporting my friends and other local businesses through word of mouth if I’m not consistent enough online. I feel honored for the continued trust my clients put into my hands. I wouldn’t be here without you.

My mission is to always continue furthering my education so I can continue being a supportive role in your wellness/self-care routine. My approach is combining soothing traditional massage techniques with orthopedic massage techniques. Creating a deeply healing experience, especially as we age that can benefit us physically, mentally and spiritually. 🌀

Back to the flow from taking a full week off, feeling recharged and thankful to be able to 🌀

We have only one vessel. Receiving integrative massage therapy(using orthopedic massage and soothing massage techniques) supports muscle recovery and also helps on a deeper level, influencing our nervous system to help us regulate by activating our parasympathetic nervous system.

For the sake of your ability to keep on being, prioritizing time to unwind to tend to and target our overused muscles and overstimulated minds can positively impact our ability to keep on moving and grooving.💫

Adding massage to your wellness/self-care routine can benefit your bodies ability to keep on. Over time we all experience changing muscle recovery times, that rest and restoration for the mind/body is just as important as taking action(whether from: daily life, running, CrossFit, etc)especially as we age. The more we take a moment, whenever we feel the pull to drop in and notice how we feel in our mind/body, supports our ability to keep on moving and grooving.

It’s not always easy being kind to ourselves, it can sometimes be hard to slow down, to take an hour or two for yourself. To tend to your physical body and slow down your overstimulated mind. Taking care of yourself is a meditative and a spiritual practice. Tuning in to how your nervous system feels, choosing what feels right for you. I’m here to help you activate your parasympathetic nervous system. Learning to lean into receiving can be deeply healing.🌀

Life is mysterious, it can leave us awestruck and it can also cause our muscles to tense(stress:neck + shoulder region/grief: low back and glutes + hips)when we feel the overwhelm from it all. I feel it too and it’s so so easy to bypass how we feel energetically/emotionally to stay on track. But the truth is we have to make room to tend to our spirits just as much as we have to make room to tend to our physical bodies too because the mind and body are connected, working in tandem.

To whoever needs to hear this, may this find you well: listen to the pull within to nurture what you love to do outside of what you do for a living too. Especially getting outside in nature anytime you can, your subtle body(our energetic anatomy)will thank you.

Sharing a piece of my life of what’s been happening when I’m outside of the studio. I dove into a new hobby making walking sticks, I learned more about orthopedic cupping techniques, I went on a run with my dad. I’ve been playing more for the sake of playing music and getting outside as much as possible.

What helps keep you in flow?
Taking moments to tend to anything that brings you joy, anything that helps you to recenter yourself can be healing 🌀

For the sake of our ability to keep moovin and groovin, for the sake of our wellbeing. Making time to prioritize an hour or two to tend to our over-used muscles and over-stimulated minds is a must. Consistency matters, and so does having a balance between incorporating other modalities(adjustments from your chiro, yoga, weight training, reiki, acupuncture, etc.) along with massage therapy can benefit our ability to keep on being and there’s no fluff and buff about it.

May you be able to tend to your wellbeing
May you allow your humanity to flow
May you be able to get outside to reconnect to self
May you remember that we are all are apart of nature
May you remember you deserve time to unwind
May you flow with ease and find time to slow down
May you be able to take care of yourself without second guessing it. May you be able to dive into self-care in any way that feels good for you. May you be able to keep doing what you love to do. Happy Friday and Happy May Day 🌀🌱

Mistakes, typos, stumbling over my words, it happens. I named the same chakra twice in my newsletter, not a big deal. It’s just those funny moments that make us human.

But since I’m here already, might as well go over the the topic so we can nerd out together 🤓

•The root chakra is associated with our tribal energy. The resources we acquire when we are most vulnerable, helpless and under the care of our family members. Those in charge of our safety, it’s our tribe that gives us our foundation of nurturing and survival resources.

•The second chakra known as the naval chakra. This is how we honor ourselves. When we go through stressful times, this is when we drop into our resources that we received from our tribe(root chakra), those who took care of us. Depending on how we were received and taken care of creates the foundation of how well we take care of ourselves.

•The third chakra known as the sacral chakra is where our ability to express ourselves resides. How we communicate our unique expression of self comes from here. So, depending on how well we were taken care of, the resources that we were given transmutes to how we show up in the world. This is also where our confidence and intuition resides. Where we feel that gut knowing within when something does or doesn’t feel right.

Taking time to prioritize yourself for at least 5-10mins out of our day to reset, to set up your time for an hour on the massage table to let go. To calm our nervous system to be able to settle in to the present moment. Maybe writing down or utilizing deep breathing techniques, slowing down. To get in tune with how we feel on a physical and subtle body level, benefits our ability to build a foundation to hold ourselves when we need support. 🌀

That feeling I get as an LMT when my clients tell me that they actively communicate with their physical therapist that they’re receiving massage therapy to further help/assist with the flow of care they’re receiving from their physical therapist, priceless. 🌀
