Shelley Fabares died on Aug. 22 at the age of 82. She first enjoyed success as Mary on ‘The Donna Reed Show’ and later received Emmy nominations for her role on ‘Coach.’ She also had a No. 1 single with ‘Johnny Angel’ and starred in three movies with Elvis Presley.

Neptune Hartford Service Manager Teresa McCall brought an assortment of snacks for the nurses and staff at The Jefferson House, one of our local long-term care and rehab facilities. Nurse case manager Maureen Lahickey appreciated our way of saying thank you, as well as the introduction and information about our services.

Neptune Hartford was a co-sponsor again this year for the Lucy Robbins Welles Library's 29th Annual 5K Challenge Road Race. “It was a beautiful, sunny morning to participate in this wonderful event that benefits the library and its future growth in the community,” said Service Manager Teresa McCall, who invited friends to join her.

Neptune Hartford donated a self-care/spa themed raffle basket for the Friends Winterfest, to be held at the Newington Lucy Robbins Welles Library on Jan. 16. All proceeds from Winterfest event – which is sold out – support the library.

Neptune Hartford is co-sponsoring the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's - Greater Hartford event on Sunday, October 19, at Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford. Service Manager Teresa McCall and Sales Manager Katy Black are leading the Neptune Hartford team in raising funds for care, support, awareness, and research for the Alzheimer's Association.

It was a perfect day for the 28th Annual Newington Library 5K Challenge on Sunday, May 18, and Neptune Hartford was a proud sponsor. Service Manager Teresa McCall participated in the run along with her friend, Jose Lugo, who won second place in his age group.
A very special guest also ran in the challenge: four-time Boston and New York Marathon winner and U.S. Olympian Bill Rodgers, who grew up in Newington. Afterward, Bill stayed to meet with participants, autograph books and have photos taken. Funds raised benefit Newington’s Lucy Robbins Welles Library.

Neptune Hartford Service Manager Teresa McCall and her team donated a gift basket of Scottish/U.K. goods for the silent auction at the St. Andrew’s Society of Connecticut’s 40th annual Robert Burns Event, held at J. Timothy’s Restaurant.
Robert Burns – or Rabbie Burns – is a beloved 18th century Scottish poet and lyricist, most famous for writing Auld Lang Syne. To commemorate his life, Scots and fans of his work worldwide celebrate Burns Night annually on Jan. 25, his birthday, with a Burns Supper – haggis (a Scottish specialty to which Burns wrote a poem), neeps (turnips) and tatties (potatoes), and wh**ky, toasts, poem recitations, and music. Burns passed away at the young age of 37.
The St. Andrew’s Society of Connecticut is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides benevolence and education awards annually.

Neptune Hartford’s Teresa McCall and Mara Logan spent a brisk Saturday morning at the 2024 Alzheimer's Association Walk To End Alzheimer’s Greater Hartford event at Rentschler Field, which Neptune co-sponsored.
“We both had personal experiences with Alzheimer’s with the passing of our fathers,” Teresa said. “We understand the need for this research and enjoyed meeting others, sharing stories, and providing hope for the future of others."

During the American Legion Post 117 meeting Tuesday evening, Neptune Hartford was presented with a Military Certificate of Appreciation for the continued sponsorship of the Newington Vet Coffee House. Neptune has been helping to supply snacks, breakfast treats, coffee, soda, cups and other necessary goods to the coffee house since its inception in 2019. Neptune Hartford service manager and American Legion Post 117 member Teresa McCall was there to receive the certificate on behalf of Neptune.
