✨ Please join us in officially welcoming Rachel to the Lee-Goodrum Health team! ✨

Rachel is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Spanish.

During her time at Mississippi State, Rachel completed an internship with MSU Athletics as a student athletic trainer, working alongside the football and track and field teams. She also gained valuable clinical experience as a medical scribe in the Piedmont Fayette Emergency Department.

Rachel started with us part time but has recently transitioned to full time. We are thrilled to have her continue growing with our team!

Outside of work and school, Rachel enjoys shopping, traveling, and spending time with her friends. We are so excited to have Rachel officially join us full-time and look forward to watching her continue to grow as she works toward her future career as a Physician Assistant! 🩺💙

❤️ S*XUAL HEALTH & STI SCREENING

Taking care of your s*xual health is an important part of taking care of your overall health — and getting tested should never be something to feel embarrassed about.

🩺 WHY GET SCREENED?
Many s*xually transmitted infections (STIs) don't cause symptoms, so you can feel completely healthy and still have an infection.

🚩 You may want to consider STI screening if you:
• Have a new s*xual partner
• Have multiple partners
• Have had unprotected s*x
• Are concerned about possible exposure
• Have symptoms such as unusual discharge, burning, sores, pelvic pain, or bleeding
• Simply want peace of mind

🧪 WHAT CAN SCREENING INCLUDE?

🚻 UTI PREVENTION: SIMPLE HABITS THAT CAN HELP

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common, especially in women but a few everyday habits may help reduce your risk! 💗

💧 STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Staying hydrated helps your body flush bacteria from the urinary tract.

🚽 DON’T HOLD IT!
When you need to urinate, try not to wait too long.

🧻 WIPE FRONT TO BACK
This simple habit can help prevent bacteria from the bowel area from reaching the urinary tract.

❤️ URINATE AFTER S*X
Going to the bathroom after s*xual activity may help flush bacteria that may have entered the urinary tract.

🩲 CHOOSE BREATHABLE UNDERWEAR
Cotton or breathable fabrics can help keep the area dry.

🧼 SKIP HARSH PRODUCTS
Avoid scented feminine hygiene products, douches, and irritating soaps around the ge***al area.

🚨 KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS
Burning with urination, frequent urges to urinate, pelvic pressure, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, or blood in the urine can be signs of a UTI.

⚠️ Fever, chills, nausea/vomiting, or pain in your back or side can be signs of a more serious infection and should be evaluated promptly.

✨ Have recurring UTIs?
If you're experiencing frequent infections, talk with your healthcare provider. There may be an underlying cause or additional prevention strategies to consider.
