A little housekeeping because I have finally admitted to myself that I cannot keep up with ALL the things. 😂

At the end of September, I’m going to close down the Equi-First Aid Middle GA page and move everything over to my Topline Animal Services page.

Nothing is changing with Equi-First Aid! I’m still a Senior Instructor, still an advisory board member, still teaching classes, still scheduling private and group classes, and still doing all of the first aid education. I’m just tired of trying to keep up with multiple pages when so much of what I do overlaps anyway.

First aid, nutrition, bodywork, rehab, horse-owner education, clinics... it all goes hand in hand with what I do through Topline, so it makes way more sense to put everything in one place.

Honestly, I would rather have ONE page that I can keep active, useful and full of good information than two pages that I'm constantly trying to remember to post on. 😂

I’m going to leave this page up through the end of September and leave this post here so everyone has time to move over.

Quick tip for your lazy Sunday!
Before you ride today, take five minutes to really look at your horse.

Feel all four legs. Check digital pulses. Look at the eyes. Listen to the gut sounds. Notice how they're standing. Pay attention to what "normal" looks like.

The more familiar you become with your horse on a good day, the faster you'll recognize when something isn't right.

Sometimes the best first aid starts before an emergency ever happens.

Good morning!
I realize it's been a minute since I introduced myself and reminded you guys what I do here Equi-First Aid Middle GA.

I’m Sara, owner of Equi-First Aid Middle GA and Topline Animal Services. My passion has always been helping horses, but I also believe one of the most important things we can do is teach owners how to recognize when something is wrong, respond appropriately, and know what to do while waiting for veterinary help.

Through Equi-First Aid Middle GA, I teach practical, hands-on, owner-level classes covering vital signs, wounds, colic, choke, lameness, trailering emergencies, disaster preparedness, mare and foal care, backcountry and wilderness first aid, equine nutrition, and much more.

These classes are not about replacing your veterinarian. They are about helping you recognize problems sooner, communicate more clearly with your veterinary team, and become a more confident and capable advocate for your horse when seconds matter.

I also serve on the Equi-First Aid USA Advisory Board as the Bodywork and Rehabilitation representative. Combined with my everyday work through Topline Animal Services, this allows me to bring real-world experience, a deeper understanding of the equine body, and years of hands-on work with horses into every class I teach.

Whether you are a brand-new horse owner, have owned horses your entire life, manage a barn, or work professionally in the equine industry, there is always something new to learn. We offer public classes, private barn clinics, host-site opportunities, and educational events throughout Georgia and surrounding states.

My goal is for every student to leave class feeling more prepared, more confident, and better equipped to help their horse through an emergency.
