Straight lines should look straight. If door frames, window blinds, tile edges, or words on a page start to look bent, blurred, or distorted, it may be an early warning sign of macular degeneration. This change can be easy to dismiss at first, especially if it only affects one eye or comes and goes, but it should never be ignored.
Macular degeneration affects the macula, the part of the retina responsible for sharp central vision. This is the vision you rely on for reading, driving, recognizing faces, and seeing fine details. We encourage patients to schedule an eye exam if they notice any unusual vision distortion.

Dr. Voyce will be out of the office this week for Spring Break. We will have staff in the office to assist with optical needs and answer questions Monday-Thursday 9 am to 5 pm and Friday 9 am to 2 pm.
