A version of this shows up on a lot of first calls: 'I do not know if this is OCD, anxiety, trauma, or just me being overwhelmed. Am I even in the right place?'

You are in the right place. Figuring that out is what the consult is for.

The free 20-minute call is not a screening you have to pass. You do not need to know what is wrong before you pick up the phone. You do not need a prior diagnosis. You do not need to have the vocabulary sorted out.

On the call, you describe what is happening in whatever words you have. A specialist listens, asks a few focused questions, and helps you get a clearer read on what you are actually looking at. Sometimes that is OCD. Sometimes it is anxiety, panic, phobias, or something else in the mix. Sometimes it is more than one thing at once. All of that is normal.

At the end you get a clear next step. That might be with us, through weekly therapy or the 3-Week IOP. It might be a referral somewhere else better suited for your situation. Either way, you leave clearer than when you called.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

A pattern we see on a lot of first calls. Someone has already done ERP. They stopped washing, or checking, or asking the same question out loud. And they are still stuck.

Usually what is happening is that the visible compulsions got treated, and the mental compulsions never did.

Mental compulsions are the ones no one sees. The silent review of what happened yesterday to make sure you did not do something bad. The internal argument about whether the thought means something. The mental checking of your own body for a certain feeling. The silent reassurance you give yourself twenty times a day.

Those are compulsions. The loop runs on them exactly the same way it runs on the visible ones. If ERP only addresses the outside behaviors, the inside behaviors keep the loop alive.

At The OCD Treatment Center, the More Than ERP framework is built specifically to treat both. External compulsions and mental compulsions. The full loop, not just the part someone else can see.

If ERP has not moved the needle, this is often why. A free 20-minute consult will help you figure out whether that is what is happening for you.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

A version of a question we hear often: 'I want real OCD treatment, but I do not want to leave my faith at the door. Do those two things go together?'

At The OCD Treatment Center, yes. That is what the Faith-Based Intensive track is built for.

It sits inside the 3-Week Intensive Outpatient Program. Same clinical rigor. Same More Than ERP framework. Same specialist clinicians. The difference is how the care is framed around your faith rather than sitting apart from it.

This matters clinically for a lot of people, and especially for clients working through scrupulosity, where religious OCD themes and faith are already tangled together. Trying to untangle them without acknowledging the faith side of the picture rarely works. Trying to treat the faith side without addressing the OCD side does not work either. The track holds both.

It is a track, not a program requirement. Clients who prefer the standard track choose that. Clients who want the faith-based frame choose this. Both paths lead to the same clinical outcomes we work toward with everyone.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

A question that comes up on almost every IOP call: 'What actually happens in the three weeks?'

Here is the honest answer. It is not a workshop. It is fully one-on-one. It is three weeks of daily, structured, specialist-led OCD and anxiety treatment.

Most days include one-on-one work with a specialist clinician and skill-building sessions where the More Than ERP framework moves from theory to practice. The care is calibrated to what you actually need, not a fixed classroom schedule. That one-on-one structure is one of the things that sets the intensive apart.

Week one is usually assessment, mapping the loop, and starting the earliest exposures. Week two is where the real momentum builds. Week three is where the work gets consolidated into a plan you can carry forward.

There are two tracks. Standard, and Faith-Based Intensive for clients who want their care to integrate with their faith.

The goal is not to fix everything in 21 days. The goal is to give you enough traction, structure, and specialist care that the loop actually starts to loosen and you leave with something concrete to keep doing.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

One of the quietest reasons people put off calling a specialist is a version of this thought: 'I do not think it is severe enough to need help.'

Sometimes that sentence buys someone six months of waiting. Sometimes it buys ten years.

Here is what we tell people on that first call. The free 20-minute consult is not just for a crisis. It is for the moment where something has been off. Something has been running in the background. Something has been quietly making the day harder than it used to be.

Early is easier than late. Small patterns are simpler to interrupt than the versions they grow into after another year of practice. And even if what you are describing turns out to be something other than OCD or anxiety, you leave with a clearer read than you had when you called.

On the call, you describe what is happening in whatever words you have. A specialist asks a few questions. You get a real sense of what you are looking at and a clear next step, whether that is with us or somewhere better suited.

No referral needed. No pressure to book anything at the end. No requirement that things have to be terrible first.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

OCD does not always stop in childhood. And it does not always stay quiet the way it started.

A lot of adults show up on our first calls with some version of the same story. 'I have always been an anxious person, but this year it got much worse.' 'I thought I had this under control, and then I had a baby and the intrusive thoughts got unbearable.' 'The move triggered something. The promotion triggered something. The loss triggered something.'

That is not random. Life transitions raise the stakes. New responsibility. New identity. New love. New fear. OCD grabs onto whatever matters most, and transitions are moments when a lot of things start mattering more at once.

New parent OCD is one of the clearest examples. Harm thoughts about a baby are one of the most common patterns we see in new mothers and fathers. They are not warning signs about who you are. They are OCD landing on the thing you love most in the world.

At The OCD Treatment Center, our specialists work with adults in these exact windows. Weekly therapy, the 3-Week Intensive Outpatient Program with standard and faith-based tracks, and the More Than ERP framework are all built for the version of OCD adults actually live inside.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

One of the most common myths about OCD is that if you know your fear is not rational, you cannot really have OCD.

That myth keeps people quietly stuck for years.

Most people with OCD have full insight into how irrational the fear looks from the outside. They can tell you exactly why the thought does not make sense. They can explain the statistics. They can point out that the door is obviously locked. They can name that the intrusive image is not something they actually want.

The loop still fires. The anxiety still spikes. The compulsion still promises relief. That is the whole point. OCD is not a belief problem. It is a loop problem.

Insight is helpful. It is not the exit. What actually changes things is doing the work that teaches the brain a different lesson. Exposure with response prevention. Skill-building around mental compulsions. A mindset shift about what to do when the doubt shows up. Support from a specialist who has seen this exact pattern many times before.

At The OCD Treatment Center, our specialists work with the version of OCD you are actually living inside, insight and all. The More Than ERP framework maps your specific loop and builds treatment around it.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

A question that comes up on a lot of anxiety consultations: 'I have done CBT and I still have panic attacks. What now?'

Often the answer is that CBT alone was not the whole treatment. CBT is a valuable piece. It is not the whole picture for someone with panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, or persistent generalized anxiety.

At The OCD Treatment Center, we use the More Than CBT framework for anxiety treatment. Same principle as our More Than ERP framework for OCD. Cognitive work is essential and it is not sufficient on its own.

What gets added is the exposure work. Real practice with the sensations, the situations, the driving, the crowd, the elevator, the meeting, whatever your specific fear pattern actually is. The mindset work that changes how you relate to a spike when it hits. The skill-building that means you have something to do at 2 am, not just something to think about the next morning.

We treat anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

If CBT alone has not moved the needle, a free 20-minute consult can walk you through what More Than CBT actually looks like.

A question people often do not ask on the first call but are quietly wondering: 'What actually happens after the 20 minutes?'

Fair question. Here is the honest answer.

The consult is a real conversation with a specialist. You describe what is happening. They ask enough questions to understand the shape of it. By the end of the 20 minutes, you leave with a clearer read on what you are looking at and what a next step could be.

Sometimes that next step is weekly therapy with one of our specialists. Ongoing care, once a week, working through the More Than ERP framework at a sustainable pace.

Sometimes it is the 3-Week Intensive Outpatient Program. Standard track for people who need intensity and focus. Or the Faith-Based Intensive for people who want their faith woven into the work.

Sometimes the honest next step is somewhere else entirely. If what you are describing is not our specialty, or a different setting would serve you better, we will tell you that on the call. You leave with a real recommendation, not a booked appointment you were not sure about.

Either way, the 20 minutes is free. There is no pressure to schedule anything at the end. The point is that you walk away with more clarity than you had when you called.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.

A common question on first calls: 'Aren't most therapists trained in OCD?'

Most therapists have had exposure to OCD in graduate school. Some have done additional training. A smaller number have made OCD and anxiety the center of their clinical work.

That last group is who works at The OCD Treatment Center.

Here is what that means in practice. When our clinicians walk into a session, they are not context-switching from a depression case to a couples case to an OCD case. OCD and anxiety are the whole caseload. The patterns are familiar. The subtypes are familiar. The way OCD tries to bend a treatment plan into another compulsion is familiar. The way family members get pulled in is familiar.

All of them are trained in the More Than ERP framework, the 5-pillar approach that powers treatment here. That means the same clinical map is being used in weekly therapy, in the 3-Week IOP, and in the Faith-Based Intensive. The care is coordinated because the framework is one thing.

Depth over breadth. Because OCD rewards depth. The more precisely a clinician can see the specific loop in front of them, the faster the work moves.

We treat OCD, anxiety, panic, phobias, and more. Children, teens, young adults, and adults.
