Postpartum mental health struggles deserve to be met with compassion, not judgment.
Postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis are not the same. Postpartum psychosis is a psychiatric emergency that requires immediate medical attention, and recognizing the warning signs early can be lifesaving.
The more we create safe spaces for mothers to speak openly about what they’re experiencing, the more likely they are to ask for help before reaching a crisis point.
We need less stigma, better awareness, and easier access to compassionate care.
If you or someone you love is struggling after childbirth, please don’t wait to reach out for professional support.
