Reacting to Leelo Ryan and her video, “What Your Doctor Didn’t Tell You About HRT.” She brings up some really important questions that many women have when starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

One thing I always emphasize is that HRT is not one-size-fits-all. Systemic estrogen and v@ginal estrogen serve different purposes, and some women may benefit from one while others may need a combination depending on their symptoms and goals.

The same goes for the type of hormone therapy you use. Patches, topical options, and pellets all have different considerations when it comes to delivery and consistency.

If you’re on HRT and still have questions about your symptoms, estrogen therapy, or which delivery method may be right for you, that’s exactly what we should be talking about with your provider.

Testosterone therapy isn’t just about a number on a lab report, it’s about how you feel and function.

Lucy has been on testosterone pellets for about a year and a half, and as a busy mom and dedicated CrossFit athlete, she’s noticed meaningful changes in her energy, sleep, mental clarity, and physical performance.

With hormone therapy, we monitor hormone levels and pay attention to how you’re feeling over time so treatment can be personalized to you.

If you’re navigating perimenopause, menopause, low energy, or changes in recovery and performance, hormone testing can help determine whether testosterone therapy may be appropriate for you.

IV therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all treatment. 💧

At truMD, we can tailor IV therapy and nutrient support around your individual wellness goals whether you’re looking for hydration, recovery support, energy, or targeted nutrients like vitamin C, B vitamins, or NAD+.

The right approach starts with understanding what you need rather than simply giving everyone the same formula.

Reacting to @ realtalkmenopause (Maria, RN) on TT sharing her first experience with progesterone and honestly, this is something I hear from female patients all the time.

Progesterone can have a noticeably calming effect, especially when first starting treatment. That’s one reason we talk with patients about timing, safety, and what to expect as their body adjusts.

And if you’re taking estrogen as part of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and still have your uterus, progesterone can play an important role in protecting the uterine lining.

Hormone therapy is highly individualized, so understanding why you’re taking each hormone and how your body responds is just as important as the prescription itself.

Progress isn’t always accurately captured by a number on the scale or a before-and-after photo.

That’s why objective data matters. At truMD, we use tools like Styku 3D body scanning to look beyond weight and BMI and track changes in body composition including body fat, visceral fat, lean muscle mass, and measurements over time.

Having consistent, measurable data gives you and your provider a clearer picture of what’s actually changing and can help guide nutrition, exercise, and treatment decisions along the way.

Because when it comes to body recomposition and medical weight management, better data means better-informed decisions.

Reacting to @ kwhitlegit (Kaelyn Whitaker) on TT sharing such a real and vulnerable moment while navigating menopause and recovering from the flu. I know so many women watching this will see themselves in her experience.

One thing that’s important to remember is that even if you’re on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), your body is still dealing with the stress of being sick. Illness, inflammation, and poor sleep can temporarily amplify menopause symptoms and leave you feeling like your hormones are “off.”

If this happens to you, give yourself some grace while your body recovers. Once you’re feeling better, check in with your provider. A conversation about your symptoms and updated hormone labs can help determine whether your treatment is still the right fit or if it’s time for an adjustment.

If you’re struggling with perimenopause or menopause and feel like you’ve lost yourself, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help.

Low testosterone doesn’t automatically mean you need testosterone therapy.

The first step is understanding why your testosterone is low. Sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress, and other lifestyle factors can all have a significant impact on your hormone levels, which is why a comprehensive evaluation and lab testing are so important before deciding on treatment.

For some men, lifestyle modifications may be enough. For others, options like testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), Enclomiphene, or HCG may be more appropriate. The key is finding the right treatment based on your labs, symptoms, and long-term goals, not guessing.

Reacting to a woman describing perimenopause as feeling like it’s “stealing her spark”—and I know so many women can relate.

Perimenopause is about much more than hot flashes. Many women notice changes in mood, motivation, energy, sleep, and even a loss of enjoyment in the things they once loved. These symptoms can be influenced by changes in estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, or a combination of factors.

The good news? You don’t have to guess. A thorough hormone evaluation, lab testing, and an individualized treatment plan can help uncover what’s contributing to how you’re feeling.

If you’ve been saying, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore,” it’s worth having the conversation.
