My facelift technique today looks very different from the way I operated six years ago, and I’m proud of that evolution.

Surgery continues to evolve, and so do I. I’m constantly studying new techniques, technology, and advancements to see what can improve the results I offer my patients.

Not doing more filler to rejuvenate your face? You read that right.

This beautiful patient in her 20s underwent an awake, open (subcutaneous) pretrichial brow lift and CO2 laser resurfacing.

Brow descent often shows most noticeably along the outer portion of the brow. When that is the primary concern, I prefer to address the position and shape of the brow first rather than simply removing excess skin.
For this patient, the goal was a more elevated lateral brow while maintaining a shape that complemented her natural anatomy. Brow lifts can also be customized depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals, from subtle repositioning to a more dramatic “cat eye” effect.

CO2 laser resurfacing, performed in house by NurseMikiNB, BSN, RN, was also used to improve skin tone and overall radiance.

Trust is the whole point.

Salivary gland reduction has become increasingly popular as part of certain facelift procedures, and it’s something I perform often when appropriate for the patient.

Salivary glands are highly vascular, which means bleeding is an important consideration both during and after surgery. For an added layer of safety and precision, I use a device called LigaSure, which seals blood vessels as I work and helps control bleeding during the procedure.

Considering Kybella to put off a facelift?

Kybella works. In fact, sometimes it works too well.
