5 IVF grants are accepting applications right now, and many cover donor egg cycles.

We keep a running list of fertility grants with open application windows and current deadlines, so you can see what's available in one place. Find the full list in our IVF grants guide on our website: https://na2.hubs.ly/H079YJ50

Thank you to Baby Quest Foundation, Inc. for partnering with us on this one. Applications for their current grant cycle close soonest of the five, on September 3rd, so it's a good place to start.

Save this for later and send it to someone who might need it ๐Ÿ’›

Intended parent Jackie Henneman built her family through embryo donation. Here's what she wishes she'd known before she started: Choosing this path has its share of difficult decisions, vulnerability, and sitting with fear. She had to let go of the family she once pictured to make room for the one she has now. And she wouldn't change a thing.

As she says, "There is nothing 'less than' about building a family this way. If anything, it is a testament to just how deeply a child can be loved and wanted before they are ever here."

Jackie built her family through donor embryos after years of infertility. She shares her feelings on donor conception and her bond with her children.

How many eggs do you actually need for IVF? It's one of the most common questions we hear, and the answer usually surprises intended parents who've been through their own IVF cycles.

A 2024 study, the largest of its kind, found it typically takes about 4 mature eggs from a donor under 35 to reach one genetically normal embryo. Using your own eggs at 43? That number climbs to around 40 eggs.

Same goal. Very different starting point. It's why our Frozen Egg Bank cohorts include 6 mature eggs, and our Fresh Matching Program averages 22.6. We start you above where the research says you need to be.

Curious how this translates to your own family-building goals, whether you're hoping for one child or more? We break that down too.

Emily was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency at 25 and walked out of that appointment believing motherhood was completely out of reach. No one told her donor eggs could still be part of her story.

Today, she's the mother of two daughters and the founder of a nonprofit built to support women walking the same path, with the hope, resources, and community she wishes she'd had. ๐Ÿค

For Erica, choosing donor eggs brought something many intended parents are searching for: relief. She wasn't giving up on motherhood. She was letting go of a path that was hurting her, and making room for the one that was meant for her all along.

This one hits close to home for many. ๐Ÿ’™

The fear of judgment is real. From family who don't understand. From friends who ask difficult questions. From a culture that has kept donor conception private for so long.
But Victoria Nino found something powerful on the other side of that fear: community. People who understand. Families built through egg donation who are now living their joyโ€”and finding their own language to share it.

Shame thrives in silence. Community is one of the most powerful antidotes. ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ’ฌ You are not alone in this. Drop a โค๏ธ if you've felt this.

This is something so many in the fertility community rarely say out loudโ€”and it needs to be said. ๐Ÿ’™

When an IVF cycle fails, the loss isn't just medical. It's the loss of hope, a future imagined, and sometimes the identity you built around becoming a parent in a certain way.

Victoria Nino gives language to that grief and doesn't rush past it. Because it deserves to be acknowledged.

You are allowed to grieve. ๐Ÿค

What happens after IVF fails? The grief is real, the silence is deafening, and the question of "what now?" can feel impossible to answer.

06/11/2026

What would Victoria do differently? ๐Ÿ’™

"I wish I hadn't waited so long."

Not because her journey was wrong. It brought her exactly where she needed to be. But because the fear, grief, and shame were more painful than they needed to be.

She's not saying skip the emotions. She's saying: Just look. Just take a peek.

"If you are in the 'what now' moment right now, just take a peek. That's all you have to do."
