We're honored to partner with to share their SAMFund Family Building Grant, now open for applications from young adult cancer survivors pursuing parenthood.

We're sharing her story to bring awareness, hope, and resources for anyone on a similar path.

Who qualifies:
Ages 21–39, U.S. residents, who have completed active treatment and meet the survivorship eligibility criteria, with a defined family-building plan.

What it covers:
Fertility preservation, IVF (including cycles with a donor egg or donor embryo) and IUI, gestational carrier fees, fertility testing, and adoption.

How many eggs do you actually need for IVF? It's one of the most common questions we hear, and the answer usually surprises intended parents who've been through their own IVF cycles.

A 2024 study, the largest of its kind, found it typically takes about 4 mature eggs from a donor under 35 to reach one genetically normal embryo. Using your own eggs at 43? That number climbs to around 40 eggs.

Same goal. Very different starting point. It's why our Frozen Egg Bank cohorts include 6 mature eggs, and our Fresh Matching Program averages 22.6. We start you above where the research says you need to be.
