Chin Botox Makes Filler Results Even Better 💉✨

A “crunchy chin” happens when the mentalis muscle or the chin where you pout becomes overactive, creating dimpling, puckering, or an uneven texture in the chin.

One of my favorite ways to refine the lower face is by combining chin filler with a touch of Botox. The filler helps improve projection and contour, while Botox relaxes the muscle that causes that pebbled appearance and movement. Together, they create a smoother, softer, and more balanced chin profile.

When a friend asks me for a simple, effective hair vitamin, my answer is easy: HAIRtamin 😍

As a board-certified dermatologist and hair specialist, I look for ingredients that actually support healthy hair growth. When we evaluate patients with thinning hair and hair loss, we check levels of:

⏵ Vitamin D, zinc, selenium, ferritin, folic acid, and B vitamins because deficiencies in these nutrients CAN absolutely impact hair health. HAIRtamin has the essentials your hair actually needs.

And as a functional dermatologist, quality matters to me just as much as ingredients.
✅ It’s third-party purity tested, meaning what’s on the label is actually in the product, without unnecessary fillers or garbage ingredients.

So on the days I don’t feel like carrying around my entire supplement routine, I just pop a HAIRtamin and go. ✨💊

Retinol Around the Eyes👁️

The skin around the eyes is the THINNEST skin on the body, which also means it’s one of the easiest areas to irritate. That’s why using a strong face retinol too close to the eyes can often lead to redness, dryness, peeling, and sensitivity.🚫

☑️ Instead, it’s important to choose an eye-specific, ophthalmic-grade, retinol formulated at a lower concentration for this delicate area. These products are designed to help stimulate collagen while being much gentler on the skin around the eyes.

⏵ WHY even use retinol under your eyes? As we age, collagen around the eyes naturally decreases first, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, hollowing, dark circles, and crepey skin. Incorporating a gentle retinol eye product into your nighttime routine can help support collagen production and improve the appearance of aging skin over time.

Good eye care at home truly makes a difference. 30 to 40% of the battle is simply using the right skincare consistently. Try out our Retinol Eye Glow that is perfect for your under eyes ✨

Hair thinning can be frustrating, but understanding the cause is the first step!💇🏻‍♀️

For our patient today, androgenetic hair loss, also known as genetic hair loss, combined with everyday stress is contributing to thinner hair. So the goal is to support circulation, nourish the follicles, and optimize anything internally that could be affecting growth.

Today we injected her with PRP on her scalp to help thicken the hair and then we are going to set her up with a comprehensive hair growth plan, including oral minoxidil to support follicle activity, and bloodwork to check key levels like ferritin, vitamin D, zinc, and copper. Because when it comes to hair restoration, we don’t just treat the scalp, we look at the whole picture!

Can You Have Too Much Collagen? Honestly, NEVER! 💁🏻‍♀️

As we age, especially after our mid 20s to 30s, we steadily lose collagen, causing the skin to thin, lose hydration, and show signs of aging. The goal isn’t excess, it’s BALANCE.

By stimulating collagen production, we can help rebuild and maintain that supportive skin layer. Treatments like Thermage, Sofwave, Ultherapy, IPL, and BBL all work to boost collagen, improve skin quality, and restore a healthy glow.

🔑 The reality is every day we are aging and therefore always losing collagen over time, so these treatments simply help you keep up and maintain equilibrium. It’s not about overdoing it, it’s about preserving what your skin naturally loses.

Tighten Your Skin with Thermage!✨

Thermage is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to improve the appearance of aging or sagging skin. I recommend to start around age 30!

Here are the benefits of Thermage for skin:

• Tightens and firms: Stimulates collagen production, which tightens existing collagen and encourages new collagen growth, resulting in firmer skin.
• Reduces wrinkles and fine lines: Smoothes out wrinkles and fine lines, especially around the eyes, forehead, and mouth.
• Improves skin texture: Enhances overall skin texture and tone by promoting skin rejuvenation.
• Contours: Helps to contour and define areas such as the jawline and cheeks.
• Minimal downtime: Requires little to no downtime, making it a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles.

The importance of getting your moles checked! ⬇️⬇️

Be sure to examine your skin on a monthly basis and check any moles/areas of concern. Most moles are benign (non-cancerous) but if you notice changes in a mole’s color or appearance, have your mole evaluated! You also should have moles checked if they bleed, ooze, itch, appear scaly, or become tender or painful. It’s important to routinely examine new or previous moles to check for melanoma and other skin conditions! 🩺

Leave me any questions you have regarding skin spots or routine examinations in the comments! 💚

When is acne “too much” that you should seek help from a dermatologist? Here are some acne red flags you shouldn’t ignore.

🚩 If you’re dealing with deep, cystic breakouts, especially along the jawline or chin, it may be time to see a dermatologist.

🚩 Hormonal acne can be tied to monthly hormone shifts, but if it comes with irregular periods, ovarian cysts, thinning hair, or scarring, it could be a sign of PCOS or elevated androgens like DHEAS.

☑️ MY goal is not to “throw pills” at the problem, but to understand what is happening internally. Proper bloodwork can help determine whether options like oral spironolactone, along with the right topical routine, may be appropriate for you.

💚 Treating acne from the inside out can make a major difference when breakouts are deep, painful, recurring, or leaving scars.
