The new state-of-the-art replacement hospital was completed in 2019. The hospital is one of Samaritan Health Services' five non-profit hospitals with the mission of building healthier communities together.

Summer is almost here, and with warmer weather comes the return of backyard barbecues, beach days, camping trips and outdoor gatherings. But extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for people experiencing homelessness, chronic health conditions or other vulnerabilities.

As temperatures rise across Benton, Linn and Lincoln counties, it’s important to know where to find help before a heat emergency happens. A little preparation can save lives.

This guide highlights:

✅ Local cooling centers and overnight shelters
✅ Transportation assistance through 211
✅ Oregon Health Plan climate supports, including portable air conditioners and mini-refrigerators for eligible members
✅ Tips for staying safe during extreme heat
