🚧 A Quick Heads-Up 🚧

Due to a water main break, some roads near our office are currently closed for repairs. We are still open and seeing clients as scheduled!

If you have an upcoming appointment, please allow extra travel time and follow the posted detours in the area. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you soon.

If you have any questions about getting to your appointment, feel free to give us a call.

UPDATE: The water main beneath the Main Street railroad crossing has been repaired, and BNSF is continuing the work to restore the railroad crossing for an anticipated re-opening of Wednesday afternoon.

Due to the extent of the damage and the work still required to safely restore the crossing, Main Street will remain closed through Wednesday afternoon. BNSF crews are currently replacing railroad ballast and ties, after which the tracks will be adjusted to restore the proper elevation through the crossing.

Additional concrete repairs will also be completed near the tracks by the City of Newton Street Department. Once those repairs are complete, the railroad’s contractor will place asphalt at the crossing to address the elevation difference created by the track work.

The crossing is anticipated to reopen by the end of the day Wednesday, pending completion of the remaining repair work. Crews will continue working to safely reopen the crossing as soon as possible.

A definitive cause of the water main failure has not been determined. The City and BNSF remain focused on completing the repairs and safely restoring the crossing.

We recognize this closure comes at an inconvenient time, particularly with the start of the school year, and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as City and BNSF crews work together to restore this important connection.

A posted and recommended detour has been established for K-15/Main Street traffic:

-Heading Southbound: Broadway → High Street → 1st Street → Main Street
-Heading Northbound: Main Street → 1st Street → High Street → Broadway

The posted detour is recommended, particularly for larger vehicles, to help navigate around the closure. However, motorists may use other open streets that work for their route and destination.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as City crews and BNSF continue working together to safely restore this important connection.

What a wonderful time our team had at HopeFest this year! 🎉 We loved connecting with our Newton neighbors, sharing information about our practice, and talking with the community about what we have to offer.

Events like HopeFest remind us how special this community is. Newton has such a strong spirit of neighbors coming together to support one another, and we're so grateful to be part of a community that fosters real relationships and looks out for each other. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello! We're proud to help build a stronger, more connected Newton together.

✨We are excited to announce that Renee Reimer has transitioned from Intern to Licensed LMSW! She is accepting new clients!✨

Renee works with individuals 12+ as they navigate the ebbs and flows of life. Renee believes in the genuine power each individual holds to create a life where they can be their full selves. Her sessions focus on a person-center approach using narrative therapy as she strongly believes that we are each the storyteller of our own lives. Renee’s area of focus includes anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and specifically religious trauma.

“As a therapist, it is important to me to show up as my full self. In sessions I strive to sit with you as you uncover what may be holding you back from showing up in life as your full self. I believe that with the right tending each individual has the power within them to grow, heal, and transform.”

Renee is in network with BCBS, ProviDrs Care and Sunflower. She will soon be accepting Medicaid!

April is Counseling Awareness Month, a time to recognize the incredible impact counselors have in supporting mental health, growth, and healing.

We’re especially grateful for our LCPC, Elizabeth Eells, whose dedication and compassion make a meaningful difference every day. Elizabeth works with both children and adults, helping clients navigate life transitions, anxiety, grief, attachment challenges, and more. Her unique approach blends creative therapies—like art, music, sand tray, and play—with traditional counseling techniques to meet each person where they are.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for the care, creativity, and expertise you bring to your work. We appreciate you and the positive change you help create in the lives of so many. 💙
