Flu season is just around the corner. The AAP has released its updated 2026 RSV and COVID-19 childhood immunization recommendations.
The AAP continues to recommend RSV immunization for all infants under 8 months of age born during or entering their first RSV season, unless the infant has documented protection from vaccination of their pregnant parent. The AAP expands the high-risk criteria for administration of RSV immunization in infants and children ages 8 months-19 months entering their second RSV season.
AAP’s latest recommendations are rooted in decades of research and data-driven science, helping children build the strongest resistance against respiratory illnesses.

Here’s what the AAP Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health recommends for creating safer digital environments. Learn more: https://bit.ly/4y9Av2D
