Here at The IV Garden, we take iron infusions very seriously. We have spent years and consulted with multiple advanced practitioners to create our iron infusion protocols. This is not a “regular infusion” and if you’ve received an iron infusion here, you know that.
Iron plays a critical role in producing hemoglobin, the protein that helps your red blood cells carry oxygen throughout your body. When iron stores become depleted, people notice symptoms like:
- Persistent fatigue or low energy
- Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
- Shortness of breath with activity
- Dizziness or headaches
- Weakness or reduced exercise performance
- Hair shedding or brittle nails
- Restless legs
- Feeling cold more often
For people with low iron or anemia, IV iron may be recommended when oral iron isn’t tolerated, isn’t being absorbed well, hasn’t adequately restored iron levels, or when iron needs to be replenished more efficiently. Most of the people we see for infusions feel significant fatigue that is deeply impacting their quality of life.
At The IV Garden, iron infusions are offered based on appropriate lab work and clinical evaluation so treatment can be tailored to your individual iron needs.
If you think your iron is low, have your labs checked! We are here if you need us.
