We are excited to introduce Hunter, a 2nd year physical therapy student in the accelerated program at Augustana University! 🎓 Hunter currently resides in New Mexico and will be studying under Dr. Tim at Empower of Newton!

Hunter has a passion for neuro/vestibular therapy, sports, and general orthopedics, making Empower a great place to gain hands on experience! 💪

Outside of PT, Hunter enjoys working out, spending time with family, and hanging out with golden retrievers! 🏋️🐾

Fun fact: Hunter is also a Type 1 diabetic!

As children grow, proper foot support can make a big difference in how they move and develop.

Our pediatric physical therapists provide custom foot orthotics for children who may benefit from additional support due to conditions such as flat feet, toe walking, low muscle tone, or other developmental and gait concerns. Custom orthotics can help improve alignment, provide stability, and support more efficient movement as your child grows.

Every child is unique, which is why we take the time to evaluate your child's needs and determine if custom orthotics are the right fit. Contact us to learn more or schedule an evaluation.

Next, we are excited to introduce Addie, a 3rd year WSU Physical Therapy student, studying under Dr. Kailey for this fall clinical rotation! 🌾💪🏼

Fun fact, Addie is also an athletic trainer! She LOVES sports and orthopedics so she’s already a great fit at Empower!

She loves working out and is excited to share that she is a new aunt ☺️

It’s Feature Friday! 🌟

Meet Dr. Jessica Nichols, DPT! Jessica is part of the team at our West Wichita clinic and enjoys treating a variety of patients, with specialties in orthopedic care, post operative rehab, sports rehab, pediatrics, and dry needling.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica loves spending time with her husband and son, traveling to the mountains or beach, going to the lake, and playing volleyball!

We have a handful of incredible students joining us this semester & will highlight them throughout the week!

First is Rhett, a 3rd year student at Wichita State University. He enjoys working in the outpatient clinic with patients of all ages and conditions. In his free time he enjoys lifting weights and carving wood signs!

Rhett is studying under Dr. Jess Nichols for this clinical rotation at Empower of West Wichita, so make sure to give him a kind hello the next time you’re at PT!!
