🎨 What happens when art brings generations together?

This summer, UMC and the UMC Foundation proudly launched our Artist in Residence Program, creating opportunities for residents and Lehigh University student Leah Strasser to learn from one another, share stories, and build friendships.

The impact on both Leah and our residents was inspiring, and we're excited to continue exploring new ways to strengthen intergenerational connection across our communities.

At The Shores, we offer comprehensive support, a variety of lifestyle options, and friendly neighbors, you'll feel right at home in this one-of-a-kind community.

We believe in nourishing both the body and mind with nutritious, delicious meals that bring people together.

As part of our Vibrant Minds Initiative with Sodexo, Executive Chef Mark Klein treated our Independent Living residents to a live cooking demonstration this week, preparing a mouthwatering Bourbon Salmon. Residents loved watching Chef Mark in action and were excited to enjoy the finished dish! 👏🐟

Thank you, Chef Mark, for all you do to make dining both healthy and memorable!

Aloha! What a beautiful day for our Luau celebration yesterday! ☀️ 🌴

The tropical vibes were in full swing as residents enjoyed refreshing piña coladas, sunshine, and great company. Special guest Roy Ramos provided the perfect island soundtrack with lively performances on the ukulele and guitar.

What does the nonprofit difference look like?

It looks like families feeling safe and supported. It looks like residents finding joy, friendship, and purpose every day. It looks like loved ones becoming volunteers because they believe so strongly in the people who cared for their family members.

This National Nonprofit Day, we're proud to share stories from residents, loved ones, and volunteers across The Shores, Collingswood Manor, Pitman Manor, and Bristol Glen. Their experiences remind us that when people are at the heart of every decision, extraordinary things happen.

Thank you to Pat Brady, Father Fredrick Link, Geri-Ann Deputy and fellow volunteers, and Ron Marschall for sharing your stories and helping us celebrate the impact of compassionate senior living.
