Who's getting excited for the 2026 Soldiers Reunion festivities in Downtown Newton? 🇺🇸

One of Catawba County's favorite traditions is almost here, and we can't wait to celebrate with our community! From the pageant and concerts to the parade, classic cars, and so much more, there's something for everyone over the next few weeks.

This year is even more special as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding while honoring the men and women who have served our country. It's the perfect time to come together as a community and celebrate both our local traditions and our nation's history.

The festivities kick off with the 2026 Soldiers Reunion Pageant on Saturday, August 8, and we're especially excited because our own Dawn Mull, HR/PR Director for Jenkins Funeral Home, will be competing as one of this year's contestants!
