You might have wondered whether a dental visit can be a pleasant experience.

We think it can.

We've built our practice around a phrase Dr. Lantzy uses often: we're not a clinic.

That means he doesn't jump from room to room every five minutes. When you're in his chair, he's with you. He takes time to understand what you're worried about and what you want from your visit.

Some of the patients we see, we've known for 30 years. We know about their kids and they know about ours. When they sit down, we ask how their daughter's wedding went or how their hip is feeling, because we care and want to know!

Working this way takes more time per appointment, and it's the only way we want to do this work.

If you've been looking for a more personal dental visit, we'd love to meet you. Call (215) 860-5901 or visit us at www.buckscountydental.com to learn more.

If you don't have dental insurance, you are not stuck without options at our Newtown practice. We understand the hesitation.

No insurance often means people put off care they need, worried about the cost with nothing behind them. That's the exact problem our membership plans solve. One flat monthly fee covers your preventative visits, your cleanings and exams, and it comes with a discount on any treatment beyond that. There's no insurance company approving or denying what you need. The plan is built around your dental health, not a policy's fine print. For most patients, that adds up to better value than a typical self-pay dental insurance plan, without the paperwork or the surprises. Whatever your dental hygiene needs look like right now, there's a version of this plan built to match them.

You don't have to sort this out on your own.

Give us a call and we'll help you find the plan that fits: 215-860-5901.

When we designed our office, our front desk was built with a break in it. That was Marg's call.

She wanted to be able to walk straight out to a patient and give them a hug if they wanted one.
We wanted to build a practice that feels like a home you want to come back to. You'll find pillows, a massage chair for extended visits, blankets if you're cold, and time to share photos of the family before we start.

The same faces greet you and your kids by name year after year. We see our patients in the grocery store all the time. Without our work masks, there's sometimes a beat where we both have to look twice!

Dentistry is a personal thing. It's intimate. That's the kind of place we set out to build.

If a more personal dental visit is what you've been looking for, we'd love to meet you at www.buckscountydental.com. Give us a call: 215-860-5901

If the thought of a numbing injection makes you tense up before your appointment, you're not the only one. That fear is one of the biggest reasons people put off calling us in the first place.

Here's what happens before that needle ever touches you. We start with a numbing gel on the area, so you don't feel that first point of contact. Once that sets in, we use a specific injection technique built to make the whole thing more comfortable. By the time it's in, most people tell us all they felt was a small pinch. For a lot of our Newtown patients, that's the moment their fear of the dentist starts to change. It's one small piece of how we do things, and it makes a real difference in the chair.

If it's been years since your last visit because of needle anxiety, know that this is standard for every patient who sits down with us. Call us when you're ready, we'll walk you through it step by step. 215-860-5901 or learn more at: www.buckscountydental.com

If you've been thinking about straightening your teeth as an adult, you may have wondered if it's worth it at this point in your life. The answer is more practical than cosmetic.

Your teeth are a system. When they're aligned properly, the forces of chewing distribute evenly across them, the way a car's tires wear evenly when they're aligned.

When your bite is off, certain teeth take more pressure than they should, and over the years that wear adds up.

Crowded or misaligned teeth are also harder to keep clean. As you get older and your dexterity changes, those tight spots become places where plaque builds up and gum problems can take hold.

Clear aligners straighten your teeth without brackets or wires. You wear them through the day, take them out to eat or brush, and most people find them simple to live with.

If you've been wondering whether aligners are worth it, give us a call at (215) 860-5901 or visit buckscountydental.com.

Getting a crown used to mean multiple trips to our office, a temporary that never quite held, and a work schedule you had to rearrange more than once.

If that's the version you remember, you're not wrong to dread it, but here's what changed.

With CEREC same-day crown technology, we design, mill, and place your permanent crown in one visit. No temporary crown waiting to crack, no second appointment weeks later, no rearranging your calendar twice for one tooth.

Think of the old process like ordering a custom suit that gets measured, cut, and hemmed on three separate visits, weeks apart, with a loaner that never quite fits in between. CEREC does all three steps the same afternoon, in the same chair.

For our patients, that means less time off work, fewer trips here to New Town, and one less thing to plan around. That mattered more to us than the technology itself: giving people their day back.

If a crown has been on your list and you've been dreading the back-and-forth, it doesn't have to look like that anymore.

If you've got silver fillings from years ago and you've been wondering whether to leave them alone or have them replaced, you're not alone in that question.

Silver fillings are made from an amalgam that's mostly mercury. I stopped placing them more than 35 years ago when newer options were available and when I asked myself what I'd want in my mouth.

If you have older silver fillings, they don't all need to come out. Many are still doing their job. But if one of them is failing, cracked, or near a tooth that needs work anyway, removing it safely matters.

We use a SMART removal protocol, which is the standard for taking out mercury fillings without exposing you to extra mercury v***r in the process. It involves a protective pre-rinse, rubber barriers, high-volume suction, and other protective measures for you, our team, and the environment.

If you've got old fillings on your mind and want to talk through your options, give us a call at (215) 860-5901 or visit buckscountydental.com.

If your last cleaning left you dreading the next one, tell Dr. Lantzy that before you're even in the chair. That's usually the first question he asks a nervous patient: what happened last time?

From there, the visit gets built around it, with numbing options, real breaks between steps, and a pace that never feels rushed. Dr. Lantzy walks through each step as he goes, so you always know what's happening and why before it happens.

Most people who came in expecting pain leave saying the same thing, that it wasn't what they thought it would be. Comfort here isn't an extra, it's part of how the whole visit is designed.

We'd rather spend a little more time than let someone white-knuckle through an appointment. If it's been a while since your last cleaning because of how the last one felt, you're welcome here, no lecture waiting for you.

Newtown, this is what a slower, more honest dental visit looks like.
