We're checking in with Patrick, Recreational Services Director at Citadel at Saint Benedict!

A few weeks into his role, Patrick already has a lot to appreciate about the team and environment around him.

"The environment is inviting, and everyone is willing to help when you ask," Patrick shared. He also enjoys having the opportunity to try new things and bring fresh ideas to recreational services.

With 15 years in healthcare, Patrick brings plenty of experience and creativity to his work. When asked to describe his work in one word, he chose “Experimental.”

"I love to revamp things and create new activities and experiences for our residents and staff. If they enjoy something, I look at how we can make it even better. If not, we try something different and find new ways to encourage participation."

For Patrick, it’s about listening to what people enjoy and continuing to find creative ways to make recreational services engaging for everyone.

Celebrating Cora Ekonomiuk, our August Team Member of the Month! 💛

As the Wound Care Nurse at Citadel at Saint Benedict, Cora has been part of our team for nearly four years. She is always willing to lend a hand and brings a positive attitude to both our residents and team.

Outside of work, Cora enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, and going to the beach. She also has an exciting new chapter ahead as she prepares to welcome a baby boy!

Meet Judith, Human Resources Director at Citadel at Saint Benedict!

“What I enjoy most is building relationships and getting to know everyone here,” she shared. “Every day brings a new experience. Even though the routine may be familiar, there’s always something new to learn and be a part of!”

When asked what makes working in skilled nursing so rewarding, Judith said, “For me, it’s the people. Getting to know our residents and employees—and having the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives—is what makes my job so meaningful.”

One of Judith’s favorite parts of her work is taking the time to sit down with residents and team members, listen to their stories, and get to know them on a more personal level.

We’re grateful to have Judith on our team at Citadel at Saint Benedict. Thank you for everything you do to make people better! 💛
