Today was a beautiful day for a cookout! We had quite the crowd come out to enjoy some delicious food and great company.
A big thank you to our Environmental Director Noah for deep-frying corn dogs for everyone! They were a big hit!

The Creaky Boot Saloon was in FULL SWING last night!
Sheriff Maxine made about 15 arrests for drunk and disorderly conduct! Apparently, the cowboys and cowgirls got a little too rowdy!
And rumor has it that even Bartender Erin ended up behind bars!
It was a rootin’, tootin’ good time for Western Day Happy Hour! Thanks to everyone who came out and made it one heck of a night!
The Creaky Boot Saloon may be closed for now… but Sheriff Maxine is still watching!

Welcome, Stephanie!
Please join us in welcoming Stephanie, our new beautician, to West Woods of Niles! We are so happy to have her here!
Stephanie will be joining us once a week to provide our residents with salon services. For the next two weeks, she will be here on Tuesday , and starting after that, she will be here every Monday beginning .
Call the facility to schedule an appointment for your loved one or simply stop in and let a staff member known.

Stephanie had a full and busy day today and we are so excited she is here!

Our residents enjoyed a fun outing to the South Bend Cubs game! The weather was absolutely perfect, everyone had a wonderful time, and to top it all off... the Cubs won!

Happy July Birthday to all of our wonderful residents!
Today we celebrated our July birthdays with cake, ice cream, and great company. We especially love when families join us to help make these special days even more meaningful.

Sunday's art class was a wonderful success! Each resident received a canvas, paints, and a summer picture to recreate—and they amazed us with their talent. We had no idea we had so many incredible artists here at West Woods of Niles! We can't wait to do it again this fall with another painting class!

Whenever Erin starts painting our windows, it's guaranteed to draw a crowd! Residents love watching her paint! It's amazing to see the excitement as everyone gathers to admire her talent. Many residents enjoy taking photos of the beautiful windows to share with their family and friends. Thank you, Erin, for bringing so much joy, color, and creativity to our home—one window at a time!

Erin hosted another fantastic Happy Hour, and this time we brought the beach vibes with a Beach Boys theme! Residents had a great time dressing in their favorite beach attire, enjoying refreshing drinks, delicious snacks, and plenty of laughter.

Today we stayed indoors to escape the summer heat and made our own refreshing cooling spray. We even added fresh mint picked from the garden we planted this spring! It feels cool and refreshing on the skin and smells great too!
Some of our residents even made extra bottles to share with their favorite nurses as a small token of appreciation
