One and done is a bandaid, not a recipe for real pattern change.
One of the biggest misconceptions about acupuncture is that you come in once, get “fixed,” and move on.
That’s not how meaningful healing works. We know everyone wants a quick fix–but real healing takes frequency and duration.
In our practice, our average treatment plans are a series of 2 sessions/week over 8-12 weeks. It is always centered around specific patient needs.
Why?
Because we’re not just trying to temporarily suppress symptoms.
We’re looking to change the underlying pattern and terrain creating them.
Usually somewhere along the way, patients start noticing:
temperature regulation,
better sleep,
less pain,
more emotional resilience,
improved digestion,
more energy,
less inflammation,
fewer flare-ups,
less irritability,
less anxiety,
feeling calmer in their body.
But one of the most important milestones we look for is this:
Can the body maintain symptom improvement for about two weeks between treatments?
Because that tells us the pattern itself is beginning to shift — not just temporarily quiet down.
And during that process, we collaborate.
Not from shame.
Not from blame.
Not from “you should be doing everything perfectly.”
From a diagnostic perspective.
What flares your symptoms?
What improves them?
What depletes you?
What restores you?
What patterns keep repeating?
We ask a lot of questions that you may not have ever been asked before.
This medicine works best when people feel safe enough to become curious about their bodies instead of fighting them constantly. We need to know what different sensations mean.
That’s the work.
And honestly?
That’s where real change usually begins.
If you’re looking for thoughtful, whole-picture care instead of another temporary bandaid approach that didn’t actually work, We'd love to work with you.
