Today, we celebrate a very special milestone at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, Crematory and Gardens — 41 years of Bert Edquist as the owner of Mission Hills.
For 41 years, Bert has dedicated himself to taking care of Mission Hills, the employees he has provided for, and, most importantly, the thousands of families who have trusted us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Bert is many things to many people. He is a fisherman, a basketball and sports enthusiast, a brother, an uncle, a mentor, and a friend to just about everyone he meets. But if there were one word we could use to describe Bert, it would be selfless.
Although, if you asked his wife or his brother-in-law Ron, they might choose a few other words — including “cheap.” 😂
But in all seriousness, Bert has always been someone who puts the thoughts, feelings, and needs of others before his own. It doesn't matter the situation, the day, or the time — Bert has always been willing to help, listen, and do whatever he can for the people around him.
His impact reaches far beyond the grounds of Mission Hills. He has positively affected the lives of countless employees, families, friends, and members of our community over the past 41 years.
Mission Hills would not be what it is today without Bert.
We are incredibly grateful for everything you have given to Mission Hills and to all of the people who have walked through our doors over the years.
Thank you, Mr. Edquist, for 41 incredible years of leadership, friendship, dedication, and service.
Here's to 41 years — and hopefully 41 more!
❤️ Thank you, Bert!
