Come by at 2:00pm if you want to see some excitement! The first ever Dunk tank will be held out front of you want to watch the staff get dunked! I think we may have found a new annual tradition!

There really is no such thing as a "regular day" at Ingersoll Place. In the afternoon it was standing room only (not really) for the performance of the very talented group of entertainers from the Schenectady Light Opera- Act Two. They treated us to a medley of "relationship" songs and our residents very much enjoyed singing along to several of the pieces.
Then, after dinner, a casual trip to Stella's for Ice Cream turned into a fun adventure that included a long and intimidating member of the reptile family. Oh you never know the places we will go.

Anyone who is familiar with Ingersoll Place knows we are known for our Summertime Outdoor BBQ's! We are off to a great start having held the first BBQ of the season yesterday! The weather could not have been more cooperative. Our Dining Team prepared a traditional backyard BBQ complete with Burgers & Dogs, Salads, Corn on the Cob and Watermelon! Sunshine, smiles, great food and great friends.

After receiving a large donation of paperback novels it was decided the best way to share them with the residents would be through holding a good old-fashioned Book Fair. Residents enjoyed helping to set up as much as they did browsing through the titles. Summer reading is underway!

With a chill in the air and the sun shining it was a perfect day for our residents to enjoy an outing to visit with the horses at Krumkill Stables. Calm, gentle and comforting it was clear the horses enjoyed their time with us as much as we did with them. We look forward to going again!

To get April off to a great start, the Activities Team spent the day leading the residents in a Body Building Competition, Bug Eating Contest Social and Million Dollar Bingo- among other fun events. A little help from the Dining Team added even more smiles and laughter. April Fools! Not sure the residents will fall for this again next year!
