🌿 Mending Broken Bits: 30 Days to Grand Opening — Day 7: Behind the Scenes 🌿

What you see when you visit Mending Broken Bits is only part of the story.

Behind every trail, pasture, and gathering space are long days of mowing, clearing brush, moving dirt, fixing equipment, and tackling whatever challenge comes next.

Yesterday’s challenge? A broken skid steer. 😅

The work isn’t always pretty, but it’s all part of building something special.

❤️ One day at a time. One project at a time. One step closer to July 18.

🎉 Registration Update! 🎉

We officially have our first 3 children registered for the inaugural MBB Kids Connection Club! 🐴💜🌿

Thank you to the families who have already placed their trust in us. These children will become our very first Founding Members and help write the beginning chapters of the Mending Broken Bits story.

We can’t wait to spend this summer learning, growing, connecting, and making memories together.

A few spots are already spoken for, and registration remains open for both our Thursday evening and Saturday morning groups.

Thank you all for the incredible support and encouragement. This dream is becoming a reality one child, one family, and one connection at a time. 🩵

🌿 Mending Broken Bits: 30 Days to Grand Opening — Day 5: Volunteer Spotlight 🌿

Today I’d like to recognize someone who has been part of this dream from the very beginning.

Over the past several months, Cord has spent countless hours clearing land, building fences, moving materials, solving problems, and helping turn ideas on paper into something people can actually walk through and experience.

Many of the improvements around Mending Broken Bits wouldn’t exist without his hard work, determination, and willingness to keep showing up, even when the work was difficult and the days were long.

Dreams may start with a vision, but they become reality because of people willing to roll up their sleeves and help build them.

Thank you, Cord, for all of the time, effort, and support you’ve invested in Mending Broken Bits. 💜

We’re getting closer every day.

🌿 Mending Broken Bits: 30 Days to Grand Opening — Day 4: This Dream Didn’t Start Yesterday 🌿

Sometimes people see the arena, the horses, and the property and assume Mending Broken Bits happened overnight.

The truth is, this dream has been years in the making.

Long before there was a property, there were plans, conversations, setbacks, and doors that didn’t open.

Looking back now, I’m grateful I didn’t give up.

💜Some dreams take longer because they’re still being built🩵

🌿 Mending Broken Bits: 30 Days to Grand Opening — Day 3: Progress Update 🌿

From an idea on paper to a place beginning to take shape.

There is still work to do, but we’re getting closer every day.

💜 Our hearts are with the communities affected by the recent tornadoes.

While the storms did not impact us directly, they devastated communities that many of us visit, work in, shop in, and call neighbors. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families facing loss, the first responders, and the many volunteers helping with recovery efforts.

Wishing strength, comfort, and healing to everyone affected in the days ahead.

Full Circle Moments 💜

A huge thank you to Dawn Michelle for donating fence posts and mealworms to Mending Broken Bits.

Then she sent her son James and his friends out with their dirt bikes and four-wheelers to help create trails around the property.

Dawn’s family and I first crossed paths many years ago, long before Mending Broken Bits was ever an idea. Back then, none of us could have imagined we’d one day be working together to help build it.

What may seem like a simple act of kindness is helping build something much bigger. Every donation, every volunteer, and every helping hand moves Mending Broken Bits one step closer to serving our community.

Thank you for believing in this dream. 💜🩵
