Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause. 🙏🌿
This simple hand position is called Gassho, a Japanese word meaning "two hands coming together."
In Reiki, Gassho is more than a gesture. It is an invitation.
An invitation to become present.
To quiet the constant stream of thoughts.
To take one intentional breath.
To reconnect with yourself before rushing into the next task.
Whether I'm beginning my day, preparing for a Reiki session, or simply needing a moment to reset, I often return to Gassho. It's a reminder that peace isn't something we find somewhere outside of ourselves—it's something we can choose to return to, one breath at a time.
You don't need an hour of meditation to care for your nervous system.
Sometimes all it takes is:
✨ Bringing your hands together.
✨ Closing your eyes.
✨ Taking three slow, intentional breaths.
✨ Setting an intention for the day ahead.
Healing doesn't always begin with doing more.
Sometimes it begins with becoming still enough to hear your own inner wisdom.
Today's intention:
May I move through this day with presence, compassion, and an open heart.
đź’ś Have you ever tried taking just one mindful minute before starting your day? I'd love to hear what helps you reconnect with yourself.
