Welcome to the INACAC page!

The Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling is a professional organization of counseling professionals dedicated to serving students as they explore options and make choices about pursuing post-secondary education. We are...high schools, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations serving college admissions, independent counselors and consultants, and college and university students.

We’re excited to share that Lilly Endowment is now accepting applications for the 40th round of its Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program (TCFP).

This program supports K–12 educators across Indiana by providing resources for meaningful renewal through new experiences, exploration, and reflection.

Approximately 150 grants of up to $15,000 will be awarded in 2027.

Application deadline: September 8, 2026 at 6 p.m. (ET)

Applicants will receive a confirmation email upon submission. If you do not receive one, please follow up at [email protected].

Virtual information sessions will be held on:
• August 6, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. (ET)
• August 11, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. (ET)

Funding decisions are expected by January 22, 2027.

This past week, we welcomed new admissions counselors to the University of Indianapolis for two days of learning, collaboration, and connection at Summer Institute 2027.

Attendees heard from engaging speakers on topics including Admissions Jargon, Owning Your New Career, How to Talk So Students Will Listen, and more, while also building relationships with colleagues from across the state.

A huge thank you to our presenters, volunteers, host institution, and everyone who helped make this event a success. We appreciate everyone who joined us and can't wait to see you at Summer Institute next year!

Join us this fall for a day of professional development, collaboration, and networking with colleagues from across Indiana. Counselor Updates feature information sessions, a counselor college fair, Indiana Department of Education and Commission for Higher Education updates with Q&A, and a networking lunch. Best of all, these events are open to everyone!

Join us on June 17–18, 2026, at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, IN, for two days of professional development, networking, and leadership growth designed for professionals aspiring to or newly stepping into middle management roles.

Sessions include leadership and coaching, change management, wellness and work-life balance, ethics in admission, integrating retention into recruitment, a leadership panel, and a networking reception.

Registration is limited to 50 participants.
