NSHC, including village clinics, will be closed on Friday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 7.

The ER will remain open for any emergencies and acute needs during this time. The Cough and Cold Clinic will also be open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Each year, NSHC hosts a regionwide walking challenge, encouraging residents to get outside and walk for two hours or follow the cheerful animals-on-parade path in Nome. All participants who submitted a walking challenge worksheet by Aug.19 were entered to win a roundtrip ticket on a regional airline up to $1,000 in value. This year, the winners of the challenge are Robert Villella (Nome) & Jessie Katchatag (Unalakleet). Congratulations!
