After a loved one dies, you’ll need to obtain a death certificate for life insurance, bank accounts, and veterans' benefits. But what information do you need to get a death certificate?

While every state has their own requirements, you’ll at least need to provide your loved one’s full legal name, social security number, date of birth and date of death, and parents' legal names. You’ll also need to bring your ID and proof that you’re related to the deceased.

To find out about our state’s specific requirements, give us a call at (951) 898-1013. We’re happy to answer your questions and help you request any death certificates you need.

This Memorial Day, we want to honor and remember the courage and sacrifice of the countless men and women who have given their lives to preserve and protect our nation. You are remembered, and you will not be forgotten. As a tribute, we invite you to read this article about the Vietnam Women's Memorial, which honors and highlights the role of women in the Vietnam War, especially the women who lost their lives.

As we remember our fallen heroes this Memorial Day, consider looking into the history of Vietnam Women's Memorial and how it came to be.
