Access Health Louisiana

Access Health Louisiana We are Louisiana's largest community health center network. We offer medical, dental, and behavioral care across 16 parishes. You only pay what you can afford.

Quality care at a price you can afford! Access Health Louisiana is the largest community health center network in Louisiana. We run over 50 health centers and school-based health centers across 16 parishes. We see more than 60,000 patients each year! Our health centers are in areas where care is hard to find. We see patients of all ages and are always accepting new patients. Same-day appointments

and telemedicine visits are available at most locations. We accept most commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. We also offer a sliding-fee scale based on your income and family size. Many patients pay as little as $15 per visit. Our patients also get access to thousands of medications at affordable prices through the federal 340B program. Prescriptions can be picked up close to home. Free home delivery is available through our Access Health Louisiana Pharmacy. HRSA ranks us in the top 10% of health centers in the country. We are also recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. To schedule an appointment, call 1-866-530-6111 or visit accesshealthla.org.

Louisiana Medicaid is changing, but Take Charge Plus isn't going anywhere.

You can qualify with an income of around $1,800 a month or less for one person, with higher limits for larger households. Having other health insurance will not disqualify you either.

Take Charge Plus also covers STI testing, cervical cancer screenings, and transportation to your appointments.

SWEET AS A PEACH BABY SHOWER! Access Health Louisiana hosted a baby shower at our St. Charles Luling Health Center. Guests enjoyed free baby-item raffles, snacks, and peach treats. Over 30 moms-to-be attended the baby shower, making it a huge success. We had WIC on site, along with members of our Infant Mental Health Program and Maternal Care Coordination teams, to help set up appointments and share helpful information with parents.

Breastfeeding looks different for every family, and the right support can make it easier.

The Louisiana Department of Health wants to help more parents breastfeed. They are making it easier to see a lactation expert or get a breast pump through Medicaid. They are also sharing more resources in different languages.

Access Health Louisiana can help too! Our Maternal Care Coordinator helps soon-to-be moms schedule OBGYN visits and routine care, and she speaks both English and Spanish.
