Meet Our New Hires!

We are excited to be growing and welcoming 3 new PTs to our Platinum Team!

Hopkinton: Meet Spencer! He graduated from UConn with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2021 and just moved to Hopkinton with his wife. Spencer is passionate about treating runners and athletes of all kinds. Outside of work Spencer can be found running, lifting weights, or playing the drums.

Rehoboth: Meet Cailen! He earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of New England in 2026. He has developed a strong interest in treating orthopedic conditions and working with athletes to help them return to the activities they love. Outside of the clinic Cailen can be found enjoying the outdoors, playing the drums, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Ashland: Meet McKenna! She graduated from Boston University in 2026. She lives in downtown Boston (planning to move closer to Ashland next year!) with her husband. McKenna is passionate about treating chronic conditions and persistent pain with an emphasis on EDS, POTS, and Post Exertional Malaise, and hopes to become certified in treating Lymphedema. Outside of work she can be found listening to audiobooks, hiking, and crafting.

Spencer, Cailen, and McKenna are excited to join the team and look forward to helping patients achieve their goals while providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Patient Spotlight on Jess from our Rehoboth office!

Jess is an incredible artist! She recently completed a unique project, a crowd-sourced poem, that was created during Boston's Figment Project participatory art festival, held in Somerville, Massachusetts on July 25th 2026. It is built directly from the input of nearly 300 attendees.

"Each participant selected a word or phrase from a board (options drawn from my own poems) and was recorded reading it aloud. The new poem thus unfolds from these individual decisions, made without knowledge of what word/phrase was recorded before or after their choice. It is read in a patchwork of voices., in exactly the order each word was selected and recorded by the participants.

Together we collaborated through a network of countless choices, chances, and crossed paths, revealing unexpected connections and insights. As we transform the individual words of my past, our new joint poem demonstrates the creative power of community, and the mysteries of our collective subconscious to capture hidden meanings within our shared experiences."

It is such a beautiful project! Collective imagination grows when people like you create. Thank you for sharing your unique vision with the world.

Happy Friday!

Morning PT visits are always better with a little assistant on duty. This patient had a sweet helper today. He found the perfect window to check in on her- peeking right through the face cradle to say "Hi!"

We love sharing our passion for helping patients through hosting students for their clinical rotations.

Currently we have Erika from MGH with Justine and Ryan in Rehoboth, and Mike from Johnson & Wales with Jenn in Milford.

We asked them for a brief introduction and reflection on their experience to date. Here is what they had to say!

"Hi everyone! My name is Erika Fernandes and I am a 2nd year DPT student at MGH Institute of Health Professions. I have been placed at Personal Best Physical Therapy for my first full time clinical rotation and have been learning so much every day! I'm extremely grateful to my primary clinical instructor, Dr. Justine Veloza. Her mentorship continues to challenge me to think beyond the classroom and to emphasize a patient centered approach, and her knowledge in pelvic floor PT has been invaluable. I have also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Ryan Furtado who has given me helpful pointers across his caseload, and with his clinical expertise on vertigo population, I have been fortunate to learn a lot of new techniques. Personal Best has the most personable and supportive staff, and I feel very lucky to be learning and growing in this environment!"

"My name is Mike DiPasquale, and I am a second-year DPT student at Johnson & WalesUniversity in Providence, RI. This semester, I was placed at Platinum Physical Therapy in Milford, MA, where I completed a part-time integrated clinical experience under Dr. Jenn Pittman. Throughout this experience, Dr. Pittman has been an outstanding professional mentor and has helped me grow in both my clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills. It has also been especially valuable to work one-on-one with patients and follow their plan of care from start to finish, which has strengthened my understanding of the full rehabilitation process"

Best of luck to Erika and Mike on the rest of their PT journeys! Hopefully their journeys lead them right back to us after they graduate 😊

The foot-to-pelvic-floor connection you didn’t know you needed!

👣✨ Band Resisted Great Toe Flexion—a powerhouse exercise for building great toe flexion strength and a resilient foot arch.

The Cool Science: Great toe flexion strength is deeply connected to your pelvic floor strength!

How to try it:
1️⃣ Seated: Hold for 5–30 seconds. Rest and repeat x5
2️⃣ Standing: Maintain soft knees as you press your big toes down into the ground for 5-30 seconds. Rest and repeat to fatigue.
3️⃣ Squatting: Keep the big toe pressing firmly into the ground as you squat.

💡 Pro-Tip: Inhale as you slowly lower into the squat, and exhale as you drive into your big toes and heels to maximize your results.

Give it a try and let us know what you think!
