Spring allergies got you sneezing more lately? 🤧🌸
If you leak when you sneeze, your pelvic floor is asking for attention.
Here’s what’s happening 👇
A sneeze creates a sudden spike in pressure in your abdomen. Your pelvic floor is supposed to reflexively lift and support against that pressure—but if it’s weak, tight, or not coordinating well, it can’t keep everything closed… and leakage happens.
This can be connected to:
• Pregnancy or postpartum changes
• Core weakness or poor pressure management
• A pelvic floor that’s actually too tight (not just weak)
• Habitual breath-holding or bearing down
The good news? This is treatable. 🙌
You don’t have to avoid sneezing, crossing your legs, or just “deal with it.”

• Retrain that reflex response
• Build strength and relaxation where needed

To truly prepare your body for pregnancy and postpartum, your pelvic floor needs more than just contraction.

It needs:

✨ And the ability to fully relax

Just like any other muscle, constantly squeezing without learning how to move and let go can actually work against you.

Training your pelvic floor means helping it respond to movement, pressure, and breath—not just doing reps.

That’s how you build a body that feels supported, strong, and ready. 💛

Most people think pelvic floor training is all about slow, long holds… but that’s only part of it.

Your pelvic floor also needs to be able to react quickly.

Quick flick kegels train the fast-twitch muscle fibers that help your body respond to things like:

Sneezing
Coughing
Laughing
Jumping or lifting
These are the moments when leaks often happen—and your pelvic floor has to kick in instantly.

If you’re only doing slow holds, you might be missing this important piece.

1. Stand tall in a comfortable position
2. Lift your pelvic floor for 1 second
3. Fully relax for 1 second
4. Repeat this quick on/off pattern
5. Think of it like a pelvic floor jump—you lift up, then fully land back down to baseline before the next rep.

✔️ Each rep should be a full contraction AND full relaxation
✔️ These are not synced with your breath—they’re meant to train quick, reactive control

Pelvic floor health isn’t just about strength—it’s about timing, speed, and coordination too. 💛
