If you’ve wanted to seek counseling services but the idea of sitting in an office or behind a screen isn’t quite your speed, one of the options we now offer at Upstream is Adventure Therapy.

Our newest clinician, Bethany McRae LMFT, has availabilty for those who are more into “Therapy, but make it nature hikes.”

These sessions are available on weekends, making them a great option for many people who are unable to find time for sessions during the week.

April is Counseling Awareness Month, where we acknowledge the value and strength in seeking counseling assistance for one’s mental health.

At Upstream, we are also taking this opportunity to acknowledge the amazing providers at our practice, who provide compassionate and experienced counseling services to our clients every day. Getting help is brave, getting help is strong, getting help is kind to yourself, getting help is powerful.

This week at Upstream we realized our office robot vacuums don’t have actual names, despite having googly eyes and being lovingly referred to as the “robots who live under the couch” by some of our clients.

So we are asking our followers for some name suggestions! What are some mental health/counseling related names for our robots? (Sidenote: we love a good pun.)

Our waiting room Little Free Library got a book restock recently, lots of adult fiction and some new baby board books were added. Plus we spotted some puzzles tucked in there for our jigsaw lovers!

Our Little Free Library is accessible to the public any time there is at least one provider in office. Look for our blue “Mental Health Matters” flag flying to let you know the office is open! (If it’s rainy or very windy, the flag might not be up but we might still be open.)
