We got to celebrate two of our amazing staff today! One of our awesome CMAs, Jazmin, and one of our awesome NPs, Shellie, are both having babies soon! This marks the last baby shower for a very busy past year for our office! We love getting to love on all of the sweet babies! 👶🏻👶🏻

Mark your calendars! We are exactly two months away from welcoming Santa back to NAPeds! We look forward to seeing all of the sweet kiddos with Santa again! Santa told us it is one of his favorite places to visit, and he loves seeing how much the kids have grown each year! ❤️ 🎅🏻

It’s 2 AM, and what are Dr. Miller, Dr. Newsome, and our practice manager Katherine doing? They are riding the Atlanta airport tram, roaming the concourse hallways, taking an Uber to the rental car center, riding the SkyTrain from the rental car center back to the airport since everyone was trying to rent a car, going back through security, etc, etc. 😂 Hoping the rescheduled flight actually takes off in the morning! Just 4.5 more hours to go before boarding! 🤞🏻Good thing they all like each other! 😉

Dr. Newsome, Dr. Miller, and our practice manager, Katherine, are having a wonderful time at a conference in Pittsburgh! (And despite how it looks, Dr. Newsome is not that tall. Heels seem to help. 😂 She is right there with Dr. Miller and Katherine- none of them taller than 5 ft 1 in. 😂)

***Traffic Alert***
I-20 Westbound is closed at Mile Marker 3 for an overturned 18 wheeler. Multiple agencies are on scene. Traffic is not being allowed on I-20 from exit 5 to travel westbound (towards Augusta). Please find an alternate route.

On Labor Day weekend, we will have our regular Saturday and Sunday hours, but we will have shortened sick clinic hours on Monday from 10 am - 2 pm and no Monday evening clinic. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

North Augusta Pediatrics is looking for a part-time pediatric evening & weekend provider!

We have expanded with evening and weekend hours. We are looking for NPs, PAs, and Pediatricians who want great pay, real flexibility, and the chance to deliver quality care when families need it most - without the chaos of an ER waiting room.

Hours Available:

-Weekday evenings: 5:30–9:00 PM
-Weekends: 12:00–6:00 PM
-Minimum: 1-2 weekends/month + 2-3 evenings per week

Who We're Looking For:

-Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatricians, NPs, or PAs
-Clinicians who enjoy connecting with families and working alongside a collaborative team

Our office has been without power since the initial storm rolled through around 2:30. Power restoration won’t occur until later this evening, so we will be closed the rest of the day including for evening clinic. Because our phones are down too due to the power outage, we have no way for you to reach our answering service to forward calls. Please call 911 with any emergencies! We hope everyone stays safe, and we hope to have power to reopen tomorrow!

We are so excited to share that Dr. Anna Rees will be joining our practice in August! She is very eager to start working in our North Augusta community! Here is a little bit about Dr. Rees:

"Dr. Rees grew up in New Orleans and attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette for her undergraduate degree in biology. She then worked at Arches National Park in Moab, UT prior to returning to New Orleans to attend medical school at Louisiana State University. After graduating from LSU's pediatric residency program in 2020, she worked in the Pediatric Emergency Department before deciding to pursue a career in General Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified in General Pediatrics. As a resident of North Augusta, she is excited to join the North Augusta Pediatrics' family. In her free time, Dr. Rees enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, running on the Greenway, and baking."
