Join Bay Area First Step for our upcoming Virtual 40-Hour Adult Addictions Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Training! Whether you are ready to become a state-certified Peer Support Specialist, building skills for your current role, or attending as a community Recovery Ally, we would love to have you in our virtual classroom.

📅 Dates: Monday, November 30 – Friday, December 4, 2026⏰ Time: Begins promptly at 8:00 AM daily
💻 Format: Live Virtual Training (Virtual classroom link sent upon finalized registration)
💳 Tuition: $350 per participant (Credit card or employer/agency sponsorship available)

Who Can Attend & Certification Info:
🔹 OHA State Certification Track: Per Oregon Health Authority rules (OAR 410-180-0305 and ORS 414.665), to be certified by OHA as an Adult Addictions PSS, you must self-identify as having lived experience with substance use, have at least two (2) years of continuous recovery, and pass an OHA background check (please be aware that specific criminal convictions may act as barriers to certification).

🔹 Recovery Allies & Certificate of Participation: Participants in recovery with under 2 years of recovery time and Recovery Allies taking this course for professional development are warmly welcomed! Please note that participants who do not attest to having lived experience with substance use will not be eligible for OHA state certification, and will receive a Certificate of Participation only. (Those who do have lived experience with under 2 years of recovery time may hold onto their certificate until reaching the 2-year recovery milestone to apply).
