Not All Heel Pain is the Same
~ Dr. Michael Dakkak, Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital

Plantar fasciopathy is one of the most frequent causes of chronic heel pain, often affecting about 10% of the general population at some point in their lifetime. It can lead to significant discomfort, interfering with daily activities, such as walking, exercising, and even standing for prolonged periods. Without timely and effective treatment, many patients live with pain much longer than necessary.

Fortunately, modern advancements in minimally invasive procedures allow physicians to treat plantar fasciopathy with precision and patients often avoid the pain and long recovery associated with traditional surgical methods.

One such advancement is the use of ultrasound-guided techniques with innovative technology such as TenJet, which may help patients return to normal activities faster and with less discomfort.

“As the weather is warming up, people are getting out there becoming more active. We start to see a lot of overuse injuries,” said Dr. Justin Riojas of Baptist Medical Network in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Riojas introduced how TenJet is used to treat chronic tendon pain. “We use a precise jet of saline to remove the painful and damaged tendon tissue. This is done all while sparing the healthy tendon tissue. What separates it is it’s minimally invasive, an outpatient procedure that focuses on removing that painful tendon tissue that’s disorganized and not functioning well.”

Learn more about TenJet and who may be a suitable candidate for treatment in this interview.

We’re back from Seattle! Thank you to all who stopped by our booth at the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Annual Meeting or the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine Annual Clinical Conference last week. We were happy to introduce you to TenJet and how you can add it to your practice as a safe, efficient, and effective treatment for your tendinosis patients.

TenJet physicians, we were thrilled to meet up with so many of you at our TenJet user group.

Our TenJet technology bridges the gap in treatment options for tendinosis by enabling an image-guided, tissue selective resection of degenerative tendon tissue to target the source of chronic tendon pain. TenJet’s dual-lumen needle uses a high-velocity saline jet to ONLY remove damaged tendon tissue.
