Today, we are thrilled to shine the Employee Spotlight on Tammy, our Billing Lead and Credentialing Extraordinaire. Tammy has been a dedicated Conway Eye Care employee for 13 years and she supports both locations. She loves relaxing around her backyard firepit with her husband of 27 years and their friends. What's the difference between nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism?

🔹 Nearsighted (Myopia): You can see things up close clearly, but distant objects appear blurry.

🔹 Farsighted (Hyperopia): You may see distant objects more clearly, while reading or other close-up tasks can be difficult or cause eye strain.

🔹 Astigmatism: The front surface of the eye isn't perfectly round, causing light to focus unevenly. This can make both near and distant vision appear blurry or distorted and may also lead to eye strain or headaches.

These are all very common vision conditions, and many people have more than one! The good news is that they can often be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or other treatment options.
