August is Hair Loss Awareness Month 🤍
Hair loss can be frustrating, emotional, and very confusing. There’s many reasons it can happen like hormones, stress, genetics, postpartum changes, nutritional deficiencies, medications, underlying health conditions, and more.
Social media loves to tell you that one supplement, shampoo, or treatment will magically fix it, hair loss isn’t one-size-fits-all.
As an APRN, one of the most important parts of treating hair loss is sitting down with you, listening to what you’ve been experiencing, looking at the bigger picture, and helping determine what may actually be contributing to it.
From there, we can talk about options including PRP hair restoration, supportive at-home care, and when further medical evaluation or lab work may be appropriate.
If you’ve noticed more shedding, a widening part, thinning around your hairline, or you simply feel like your hair isn’t what it used to be you deserve to feel heard and supported. Hair loss is common, but that doesn’t mean you have to just accept it. 🤍
This month, I want to make the conversation around hair loss a little less intimidating and a lot more supportive. Questions about your hair loss or PRP? Come sit with me. Let’s talk about it 🫶🏻
