We are still “open” for business; all appointments are now via telemed, so no extra worries during this time.

Taken from News Chanel 12 this morning:

“On health insurance , Raimondo said she signed a new executive order on Wednesday requiring all insurers doing business in Rhode Island to pay for "all medically appropriate tele-health visits" at the same rates as office visits. She said the executive order on that topic she signed last weekend was not broad enough.”

Update 3/15/20

As of tomorrow, Baxter Behavioral Health remains open. However, considering the state of emergency... we will be moving all scheduled (in office) appointments to telemedicine and suspending any home visits for the time being. While this virus may not be life threatening to myself, it is extremely dangerous for those I treat with immunodeficiency..and those that are over the age of 65. We must all do our share to prevent the rapid spread of this virus. As always, please feel free to call the office 4012674485

Good news for our patients below. This was posted on the Channel 12 news app at 11:03pm. If you wish to change your upcoming in-office appointment to a telemedicine one instead, please call the office and we’ll explain how it works!

Update: With the current outbreak of corona virus. We ask all patients and potential patients that have any flu like symptoms to reschedule their appointments or call the office to set up virtual appointments (telemedicine) appointments. We take the care of our patients extremely serious. We are using disinfectants in office that are on the epa/cdc websites: known to kill flu/h1n1/corona virus; to clean the office/door-handles etc. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to call the office during regular business hours: 4012674485
