An ingrown toenail often starts as mild pain, but it can quickly turn into redness, swelling, and infection that makes every step uncomfortable.

We know a lot of people try to manage it at home or even at nail salons — but those options often only trim the nail surface and don’t address how deep the nail is growing or whether infection is present. In some cases, it can actually make things worse or keep the problem coming back.

At Premier Foot & Ankle, we treat ingrown toenails the right way from the start. That includes gentle, needle-free numbing with MadaJet® for comfort, careful removal of the painful nail edge, and treatment of any infection if needed. For patients who struggle with recurring ingrown nails, we also offer Onyfix® to help guide the nail as it grows and prevent it from digging back in.

Seeing a podiatrist means the problem is properly evaluated and treated — not just temporarily trimmed. We focus on real relief and long-term results.

If it hurts to walk, wear shoes, or even have a sheet touch your toe, it’s time to get it checked. 🦶

You feel like surgery might be your only option for foot pain—but that’s not always the case.

Many patients dealing with chronic heel pain, plantar fasciitis, nerve symptoms, or ongoing foot and ankle discomfort actually improve with non-surgical treatment options first, depending on the underlying cause.

Treatment may focus on reducing inflammation, improving circulation, supporting nerve health, and helping the body heal naturally over time.
